I hope everyone under 30 will show their disgust at this blank refusal by both major parties to give our youth the joy of mobility in Europe. Craven surrender to a minority of ageing Europhobes.Sunak rejects offer of youth mobility scheme between EU and UK theguardian.com/politics/2024/…
@williamnhutton The European Commission’s proposal was an olive branch in good faith, The blatant refusal my opinion is disgusting. its saying both parties own you on this prison Island run by Europhobes ,and we chose your future and who you can marry ,only thing missing is the chain and ball.
@Gazinsalford @williamnhutton Pull the other one, it's got bells on. The EU never do anything in good faith. They just want to offload their young unemployed.
@Gazinsalford @williamnhutton Actually, the EU proposal was designed to head off UK cherry-picking bilateral mobility agreements with the wealthiest EU countries, which likely explains the unfortunate timing. More politics than good faith in this instance. But you’re right about the rest. Youth imprisoned.
