@duolingo I paid £4.49 for 1200 gems so that I could get the streak repaired. and now you have given me 1000 more gems, but I don’t want the gems, you can have them back, I want the money 😂

@duolingo clearly my two streak freezes did not work! Can you fix this? 931 days is a lot to lose!

@duolingo It’s GarryHall4. I panicked and paid for gems to get the streak repaired! Can it be refunded? I shouldn’t have really needed them.

@LashaKrikheli @tviteryan @arorachakit They are actually both quite similar. Both are dynamically typed and object oriented. But it’s really the beautifully simple syntax that will make you fall in love with python. I wrote an article comparing the languages if you’re interested codetechnewbie.com/?p=154

@ohhoe @CodeNewbies Your next best friend is LinkedIn. Make sure your profile looks good, try to apply for jobs as soon as they come out (you can set job alerts) look for companies that are only advertising on LinkedIn and don’t have many applicants (<20). This will be your best chance.

@ohhoe @CodeNewbies Does the bootcamp itself have a job board or networking events? This is your best bet. Here you will find companies that are specifically targeting bootcamp grads. (This is where I got the most responses and interviews)

@brianloveswords @adambroach Its good. I mean if you did 0.1 + 0.2 and you got 0.3, it would be fine, but it would only hide the implementation, and doesn’t afford you the opportunity to learn about floating point arithmetic, which may be an actual issue when dealing with much larger numbers.

@adambroach @brianloveswords I don’t understand. How would you store 0.1 as an integer? I mean you could store it as 1 then convert it later, but there’s nothing stopping you from doing that in JS

@nickbulljs Or maybe someone with a different opinion will bring valuable insights into your company and challenge the status quo. I obviously accept that it does exist, and applicants should investigate the company they are applying for, but whether or not it should exist? I’m not so sure.
