To the coaches out here that are trying to improve, let me share something with you. Knowing more X’s & O’s doesn’t make you a better coach. Write this down, President Theodore Roosevelt said it: “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care”
@GeeScottSr Not sure that is 100% true. Lead by example is also a good mantra - and coaches that know their Xs and Os get respect from their players....like Shanahan. You can be the greatest guy in the room, but if you don't know the Xs and Os as well as your opponent - no bueno!
@GeeScottSr And people who care alot more than others tend to make everyone else think you're weird, but it's ok to be weird. Embrace it!
