This UFC spectacle at the White House, dripping with corporate sponsors and pay-to-play billions is crass corruption. While families struggle to afford groceries, rent, and healthcare, we’re watching Trump play Gatsby on the People’s lawn. This grift must end. We deserve better.

General Omar Bradley called it the most dangerous mission of D-Day. He was not wrong. At 6:30am on June 6, 1944, 225 Army Rangers approached a 100-foot sheer cliff face on the Normandy coast called Pointe du Hoc. Their mission: climb it. The cliff was vertical. The Germans were at the top with full visibility of everyone below. As the Rangers fired grappling hooks upward, the Germans cut the ropes. Shot the men hanging on them. Dropped grenades over the edge onto the climbers beneath. The Rangers kept climbing. It took roughly 40 minutes. Men fell. Men were shot off the ropes. The ones behind them grabbed the ropes and kept going. They reached the top. Then came the gut punch: the massive 155mm artillery guns they had been sent to destroy were gone. The Germans had moved them inland before the invasion. The entire mission had been sent to destroy guns that weren't there. Most commanders would have regrouped and called it done. The Rangers fanned out. Two miles inland, they found the guns, hidden in an orchard, already aimed at Utah Beach and loaded to fire. They destroyed every one with thermite grenades. Then they dug in. Cut off, with almost no ammunition, no reinforcements, and no resupply, 225 men held Pointe du Hoc against relentless German counterattacks for two full days. When relief finally arrived, only 90 Rangers could still stand and fight. Their names are carved on a memorial in Normandy. Most Americans today cannot name a single one.

This is really stupid, and it’s not getting enough attention. The Trump administration is pulling a working $368 million ocean monitoring system out of the water, equipment taxpayers already bought, built, and sank into the deep ocean. And they are doing it right when the oceans are behaving in ways that alarm the scientists who study them. Record-breaking temperatures. A system of Atlantic currents that may be lurching toward collapse. The response? Yank out the instruments and walk away. That is not budgeting. That is smashing the gauges while the engine is on fire and calling it efficiency. For what? The Trump administration dressed it up as a “nimbler approach” and “smart lifecycle management,” which is fancy nonsense for “we shut it off and hoped nobody would ask why.” There is no return-on-investment analysis. They cannot show taxpayers save a dime, because the gear is already paid for and the science it produces protects real money and real lives. The kicker: the same people killing the monitors want to mine the deep sea for minerals. So they are destroying the only tools that could measure what that mining does. That is not an accident. I grew up under communism in Poland. I know exactly what state harassment looks like. What I saw in Minneapolis was not law enforcement. It was intimidation, escalation, panic of unqualified law enforcement, then murder. They surrounded a woman. She tried to leave. She backed away so she would not hit anyone. They shot her anyway and now they lie. That is how police states work. Start the chaos. Kill. Rewrite the story. This never ends well. This was a murder👀

Here is my opinion on Minneapolis killing by ICE officer, and facts still matter.⚖️ ICE agents are federal law enforcement, but their authority and use of force are limited by the Constitution. A US citizen cannot be detained for immigration purposes, and fleeing alone is not a legal justification for deadly force under Supreme Court precedent. Deadly force is lawful only when an officer reasonably believes there is an immediate threat of death or serious bodily harm. That standard comes from Graham v. Connor and Tennessee v. Garner, and it applies to ICE the same as to any armed federal agent. In the Minnesota case, multiple videos show agents initiating the encounter, surrounding the vehicle, giving conflicting commands, and escalating the situation. One agent attempted to open the car door while others shouted instructions. The woman in a car, a US born citizen, appeared to behave frightened and confused. Video shows her backing up to avoid an agent positioned near the front side of the vehicle, then turning the steering wheel away from him in an apparent attempt to disengage. The agent who ultimately fired had apparently already drawn his weapon before the car moved forward. An officer placing themselves in a dangerous position, creating confusion, and then claiming fear does not automatically meet the constitutional threshold for lethal force. This case is not about immigration. It is about escalation, officer-created danger, and whether deadly force was objectively reasonable. Law enforcement does not get a constitutional exemption simply because propaganda moves faster than the truth. You can see clearly in the video that agent is pulling the gun while she is still backing up to make a maneuver to avoid hitting the agent and simply leave.

I’ve served on the Homeland Security Committee for the past three years. I’m 100% for strong safe secure borders and stopping narco terrorists and cartels from trafficking deadly drugs and human trafficking into America. Fentanyl is responsible for over 70% of U.S. drug overdose deaths and fentanyl comes from Mexican cartels made with chemical precursors from China and trafficked across the U.S. Mexico border. Mexican cartels are primarily and overwhelmingly responsible for killing Americans with deadly drugs. If U.S. military action and regime change in Venezuela was really about saving American lives from deadly drugs then why hasn’t the Trump admin taken action against Mexican cartels? And if prosecuting narco terrorists is a high priority then why did President Trump pardon the former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez who was convicted and sentenced for 45 years for trafficking hundreds of tons of cocaine into America? Ironically cocaine is the same drug that Venezuela primarily traffics into the U.S. The next obvious observation is that by removing Maduro this is a clear move for control over Venezuelan oil supplies that will ensure stability for the next obvious regime change war in Iran. And of course why is it ok for America to militarily invade, bomb, and arrest a foreign leader but Russia is evil for invading Ukraine and China is bad for aggression against Taiwan? Is it only ok if we do it? (I’m not endorsing Russia or China) Regime change, funding foreign wars, and American’s tax dollars being consistently funneled to foreign causes, foreigners both home and abroad, and foreign governments while Americans are consistently facing increasing cost of living, housing, healthcare, and learn about scams and fraud of their tax dollars is what has most Americans enraged. Especially the younger generations. Boomers and half of Gen X will cheer on neocon wars and talking points, but the other half of Gen X and majority on down see through it and hate it. Americans disgust with our own government’s never ending military aggression and support of foreign wars is justified because we are forced to pay for it and both parties, Republicans and Democrats, always keep the Washington military machine funded and going. This is what many in MAGA thought they voted to end. Boy were we wrong. As the baby boomers slip away both in votes and power, the electoral future will be decided for candidates that focus on American economic populism and promising prosperity for Americans only. As of right now, neither party is offering the solution.
