@SarahRose_KPK @DragonCon @Otakon I am not here to argue either, just stating how I and some others feel about how things are being handled and how it can be done better behind the scenes.

@SarahRose_KPK @DragonCon @Otakon voiced here that are both valid. I am attending this year but if you read the response from the other half of the community, you can see clearly that many individuals feel that the DCON, like Momocon and others, should be flexible to the best of there ability.

@SarahRose_KPK @DragonCon @Otakon the cons are run by the fans and should also listen to their community where possible. They were able to last year and you would hope they would be able to this year. We all have differing opinions on how this should be handled and there are clearly two main stances being

@SarahRose_KPK @DragonCon @Otakon Many of these conventions both large and small, fan and non fan-run for multiple months now have maintained clear communication for their community and catering to as many sides as possible for those who want to attend in person and MANY options for those who don't.

@SarahRose_KPK @DragonCon @Otakon I would like to confirm yes, many of them such as Momocon (Was a volunteer) and Anime Weekend Atlanta and even larger cons like SDCC did put on large scale online events/panels and some still offering them this year as well for free.

@SarahRose_KPK @DragonCon @Otakon Dragon Con has been my home for 15 years and I have been a volunteer for 2. The fans deserve to have the options of either a refund, rollover, and or attend the event in September such as cons on a similar scale with a similar staffing structure and refund policy.

@SarahRose_KPK @DragonCon @Otakon Dragon Con isn't the only Large con run by fans in the United States and even its own home here in the state of Georgia. Many fans are just asking for Dragon Con to do what cons with the EXACT same policies have done the past few months by giving its community many options.

@DragonCon I've attended for over 15 years and volunteered for 3 but this may be the last if this is the response to your guest during a still ongoing Global Pandemic.

@DragonCon This is quite disappointing. I made in a post earlier that others cons in similar scale have allowed guest to rollover or at bare minimum have the option to refund again for 2021 events but Dragon Con won't?

@hhnfogsmell @DragonCon @sconepop @Cowbuttcrunchie I know the governor of our state as I also live here. The point is that the event has kept updates to a minimum for quite a bit now while similar events to it all over the nation have been able to be clear and concise WAY in advance of their attendance dates.

@DragonCon @sconepop @Cowbuttcrunchie Why have large events similar to Dragon Con such as San Diego Comic con and others were able to notify their attendees months in advance that they would be allowed to roll over/refund their memberships to 2022 (as seen below) then but Dragon Con refuses to?

Creators of Avatar, Bryan Konietzko & Mike DiMartino, have QUIT working on the Netflix live-action adaption of Avatar the Last Airbender. This is due to Netflix being ‘difficult’ to work with and not supporting their vision for the show.
