Last week we showed a robot picking up an apple it had never seen. Live, no training. The most common question since: “How does it handle objects it has never seen?” Great question. We’ll answer it this week. 🤖 @Generative_IDE #GideRobotics

We handed our robot objects it had never seen. It picked them up instantly. No training. Live in San Francisco. 🤖 Meet Gide Robotics. #PhysicalAI #SanFrancisco #ai #techweekbya16z

I got a $200 bill just for AI coding tokens. Alone. Not a team. That number sent me down a rabbit hole.

@crytonbuton Running models locally is easy now. Thats the reason we build generativeide.com

GenerativeIDE v2.2.0 is live. No more hardcoded model bullshit. You now choose: 4 local families (Ornith, Qwen, DeepSeek, Gemma), just point at a GGUF. 3 hosted (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini), your keys, never ours. Real Skills system: drop Markdown in .gide/skills → deterministic, project-aware behavior. Persistent memory & semantic recall that actually works. This isn’t a demo anymore. It’s a real tool. You control the model. You teach it your rules. It remembers. Fully local-first, built for teams that can’t leak code to the cloud (defense, healthcare, fintech, robotics). Free. Download it. generativeide.com #LocalAI #GenerativeIDE #AI

Small models are quietly taking over agentic coding. You don’t need massive 70B+ models to ship real dev workflows anymore. With the right orchestration, even 3B–9B models can: – Understand local codebases – Execute multi-step edits – Debug + refactor – Generate test cases At GenerativeIDE, we’re leaning hard into this. Why? Because small models = fast, private, offline, and cost-efficient. The real unlock isn’t just the model. It’s how you chain tools, context, and intent into an agent that actually gets work done. Big models impress. Small models ship. #ai #DevTools #LLM #Agents #BuildInPublic #localllm #ai #ollama

Most AI coding tools stop you with: “Token limit reached.” That completely breaks the building flow.

What if you could build an entire website using AI—without worrying about token limits? Welcome to the future of coding. generativeide.com #ai #coding #ide #vibecoding

We built something developers have been waiting for. Meet GIDE. The AI-powered IDE that builds as you think. GenerativeIDE.com #GIDE #GenerativeAI #DevTools #AICodeEditor #BuildWithAI
