“Aktuell” looks like “actually”. It means “currently” here. “Aktuell nicht verfügbar.” = “Currently unavailable.” That reports the stock status. It gives no restock date. Confirm the next step before adding a promise.

The parcel is back. Is the money? “Rücksendung” = return shipment. “Rückerstattung” = refund. “Ihre Rücksendung ist eingegangen” confirms the return arrived—not that a refund happened. Choose the German noun for the status your team can actually confirm.

Same Friday. Opposite promise. “frühestens Freitag” = Friday at the EARLIEST. “spätestens Freitag” = Friday at the LATEST. A German delivery reply can be fluent and still reverse the deadline. Confirm which boundary the team approved before translating.

@DsMatie Will personalization include the merchant’s language and keep it consistent across follow-ups? For a German sequence, a useful check is whether the first request and reminder keep the same du/Sie voice—not just the same first name.

Your “later” just became “maybe”. English “eventually” ≠ German “eventuell” (possibly). “Wir senden eventuell Ersatz” means we MIGHT send a replacement. Before translating, ask: is the replacement approved, or still undecided? Don’t invent a date.

One capital letter changes whose order your German reply discusses. 😅 „Wir prüfen Ihre Bestellung.“ = YOUR order (formal). „Wir prüfen ihre Bestellung.“ = HER/THEIR order. Using Sie? Keep Ihr/Ihre capitalized—even mid-sentence.

Noon where? 😅 “Order before 12” leaves a German customer guessing which clock matters. Before translating a shipping cutoff, confirm the time zone, eligible days and what happens after it. Keep those facts in the German FAQ.

Plot twist: Saturday may count. 😅 In German delivery language, “Werktag” can include Saturday. So “2 business days” → “2 Werktage” may change the promise if the source policy means Monday–Friday. Safer: name the days—and when the clock starts.
