Finally looked at the event data instead of the traffic data. 123 visitors. One of them pressed the button that shows the product working. I'd spent three weeks making the output prettier. Nobody was reaching the output. Fix was embarrassing: run the demo on load.

Every spring it's the same job. A folder of receipt photos, a blank spreadsheet, and an evening typing in date, vendor, total, tax, one receipt at a time. DropSheet reads the photos and fills in the sheet for you. It runs in your browser, so nothing gets uploaded.
I rebuilt getdropsheet.com from scratch this week. The tool is now the first thing you see, already running, with four sample rows in it. Drop one of yours on top. Nothing uploads. No framework. One HTML file per page.
Most receipt apps want your photos on their servers. I don’t. Drop the picture. Get the row. Files never leave this computer. That’s the whole product.

Expensify's own subprocessor list names OpenAI as a recipient of scanned receipts. Not a leak. Published, on their site, in the document that exists to disclose exactly this.
Shoeboxed publishes retention periods in two places that disagree. Policy says 6 months, backups 3 years. GDPR page says 90 days, document backups 1 year. Both current. Both theirs.
@Will_Tanner_1 The payment is the easy part. I still have to keep the slips that support it. Do you keep those photos on your machine, or in the same stack as the return?
@ProtonDrive That already exists. It is the laptop. For receipts I keep the photo there and skip the drive. Do you still want a cloud copy if the local one is enough?
@compliantvc Same. I stopped at the subprocessor list. If they do not name who reads the file, I treat it as not stated. Do you finish those pages or just leave?
@AriDrennen Same on the paperwork. When it helps with the books, do you still keep the source receipts on your machine, or does the chat become the file?
