In olden times, people of knowledge disagreed by writing to each other privately, or publishing a rebuttal book when they felt the public needed to know - hence, limited to academics & those who read books and are actually interested in the subject with some background knowledge. These days, however, every qualified & non-qualified person just sits in front of his laptop and records a video, allowing every lay person to see. This unfortunately has caused a great deal of confusion and animosity within the umma. Has the Internet done more harm than benefit to the iman of the average Muslim?!

@aishnazim Hard to believe that you could have so much authentic resources at your finger tips and still choose to be ignorant simply to trigger billions who love him. Kinda pathetic and childish.

In al-Quds, they ask about performing ṣalāt without wudhū! After they were tortured, detained and tied up, and put on their faces, some of those doing i'tikāf asked Shaykh Idrīs about performing prayers without wudhū, as the Fajr adhān was called and they were still tied up on

Imam Shafi’i said, “There is a verse in the Qur'an that every wrongdoer should be terrified of.” He was asked, “Which verse is that?” He replied: وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّۭا “And your Lord never forgets” [Surah Maryam: 64]

What’s so difficult about praying Durood Shareef? You look down, pray Durood with lots of Muhabbah and contemplate about the leader of both worlds Then you’ll find yourself directly in front of the Rawdah Mubarak – Hadhrat Maulana Yusuf Motala Saheb ؒ

Never miss reciting the Qur’an: This came up in our lesson of the Itqaan of Imam al-Suyuti today: “Reciting the Qur’an is a blessing which God has bestowed upon humankind; it is narrated that the angels were not given this, and as a result they are eager to hear it from them”

Golden advices from Shaykh Nuh حفظه الله تعالي: "A person must know three things: when to keep quiet, how to keep a confidence, and when not to meddle in the affairs of others. It's about respecting the privacy of others. Ignoring these three things will lead to your downfall."

True patience is when, regardless of how harsh life gets, you remember the beautiful things the Almighty has promised you. You keep enduring no matter how horrible you feel inside. You know it won’t last. You never inflict pain on others or let it affect how you treat them.

So much has been happening. It is disappointing. The violence this world is going through. The attacks on places of prayer in Sri Lanka was totally uncalled for. May Allah protect and grant ease. #SriLankaAttacks

Since the only thing Americans can process about civil rights is ML King, let's try this: Imagine that instead of sicking dogs & fire hoses on Black marchers at Selma, Bull Connor had snipers shoot them, the medics helping & the journos covering. THAT's what Israel's doing. x.com/ShaunKing/stat…

I know we have so much madness we’re trying to deal with here at home. Pls take a min. to speak out. x.com/shaunking/stat…

" A death to die for ". I arrived in London yesterday. Delivered my first lecture after Asr & concluded with a pre-iftaar dua. 30 seconds prior to the Maghrib Azaan on the day of Jumma, a brother collapsed before me & took his final breath. Suhoor in London & Iftaar in Jannah.

Allah has already measured our provisions and written our Decree. All it takes is trust in Allah's Plans, patience and Duaa. What's meant to reach us will eventually reach us and we cannot escape it.

As the excitement associated with the commencement of #Ramadan starts to wane, it is imperative that we quickly entrench a daily routine that ensures we are utilising our time optimally in this great month. Have a well crafted schedule, and check yourself against it daily!

Remember #Ramadan is a month where the Doors of Mercy are wide open. So don't waste the opportunity. Repent sincerely. Now's the right time. Engage in self-reflection. Ask the Almighty to give us more patience and compassion, to reboot our faith and cleanse our soul.
