In case you missed it: Glass has a file tree.
Open it anywhere in the app, in a chat, a note, or your workspace, and your project's files are right there, updating live as your agents work.
Built on the file tree from @pierrecomputer.
Building Glass with Glass.
Small detail: the icon changes with the channel. Development, Nightly and Production each have their own, everywhere the app shows up.
I want to go deeper into what @Glassappdotdev is today and where it's going.
Glass is one app for your work, the people you work with, and AI agents. It runs on:
→ Web
→ iOS and Android
→ macOS, Windows and Linux
What you can do today
→ Chat: add friends and message them like you would in any messaging app.
→ Notes: write in a block editor, then share your notes and edit them together with friends.
→ Agents: start work with an agent from any device.
→ Connected devices: connecting a computer gives your agents access to its files, with more abilities coming soon. Sign in to the same account on your computer and your phone, and they connect on their own. You don't have to set anything up.
→ Cloud computers: run an agent on a cloud computer, then close your laptop. The work keeps going without your machine staying awake.
→ Teams: create an organization, invite your teammates, and set their roles in settings.
There are two ways to run an agent:
→ Glass Cloud, with your free credits, or Plus if you need more usage
→ Your own computer, using the ChatGPT subscription you already pay for
What's coming
→ A built-in browser
→ Documents: import, view and edit PDF, Word, PowerPoint and Excel files. Markdown and plain text already work.
→ Mail: connect any email account to read, send and organize your inbox
→ Calls: audio and video calls with friends and teammates
→ Canvas: design on an infinite canvas, bring in your codebase, and see every screen of your app while you work on it
More agents are coming too:
→ Claude
→ Gemini
→ Grok
→ Muse
→ ACP agents
One last thing: Glass is in alpha and very early. Expect rough edges and breaking changes. If you try it, I'd love to hear what you think.
Glass is back. Sorry for the downtime.
