Today, we have recommended an 8.7% Cost of Living Adjustment for all state team members and a $2 per hour shift differential to eligible state team members working in certain congregate care facilities.
The recruitment and retention of state employees have been a severe problem for our state, and we must do better. This is why we are again recommending an immediate cost of living increase for our state team. governor.mo.gov/press-releases…
@GovParsonMO Not just that lowering the percentage for violent offenders to 40-65% would ease the stress of corrections workers plus give us more money for teachers, police, hospitals etc we could increase the minimum wage please think bigger it’s a start but it’s not going to help
@GovParsonMO I worked for the State of Missouri and retired after 20 years. Lowest paid in the nation. You will have to do a hell of a lot better than this to bring the wages up to where they need to be.
@GovParsonMO Doing the right things and doing them right!
@GovParsonMO You WOULD make sure yall don't miss a meal. Meanwhile, families who have more than 1 disabled member [disabled single parent w/ a disabled child] are struggling because the cost of living increase is given in cash only to be taken in foodstamps & the bottom line isn't being risen
@GovParsonMO Cool, but when the starting pay is $11 it's still BS.
