There they go again. Today, House Ways & Means voted to raise another $100 million in taxes. State government needs to live within its means, just like families and small businesses do. We don't need any more taxes, we need to make VT more affordable to attract new taxpayers!
@GovPhilScott Families have to raise more money when they can't pay their bills. And small businesses fold when they can't bring in more money. Kudos to the House for being the "adults in the room". #vtpoli ##crisisinvt
@GovPhilScott Thank you for holding them accountable with veto power
@GovPhilScott The Democrats have achieved a voting majority in Vermont that doesn’t feel the burden of an extra $200million in taxes in just one biennium. The problem is that many who DO pay more and more will say “enough” & bail out. We’re in trouble if Scott’s expected vetos are overridden.
@GovPhilScott I'm local and can barely afford the $6000+ I pay a year...can't imagine more than that as a single father and property to maintain on top of my day job
@GovPhilScott Radicals, be it right leaning or left leaning are still radicals. I heading out in a couple years. My kids and grandkids won't be far behind.
@GovPhilScott And when those new taxpayers can't get up their dirt roads because y'all haven't "hardened the infrastructure" and some taxpayer's home burns because trucks can't get thru the mud will you say That's on me? Money! Money Money and white people! There, your new slogan
@GovPhilScott Democrats have never seen a tax hike they didn’t love.
