Our office has received considerable communication about the actions of an individual involving a wolf that occurred earlier this winter in Sublette County. I want to make my position on this absolutely clear. 1/3
Cruelty to any wildlife is absolutely unacceptable. This is not the way anyone should treat any animal. I am outraged by this incident, just like thousands of Wyoming ranchers, farmers, sportsmen and sportswomen, and others around the state. 2/3
I would be disappointed if anyone were to paint Wyoming with a broad brush and suggest that Wyoming citizens condone the reckless, thoughtless and heinous actions of one individual. 3/3
@GovernorGordon Then do something now. Many are watching you.
@GovernorGordon Will be cutting Wyoming from our summer travel plans until Cody Roberts is prosecuted. A statement with no action is insufficient. I can’t spend money in a state that doesn’t hold people like Cody Roberts accountable.
@GovernorGordon Please send a message that Wyoming will not tolerate animal cruelty and torment, by prosecuting the guy who did this to the full extent of the law with serious animal cruelty charges. Wyoming’s global reputation is on the line people everywhere are watching.
@GovernorGordon Your words ring hollow without action. Unless stiffer penalties are in place, words mean nothing. This was a barbaric killing of an innocent animal that needs to be held accountable. As Governor, you can make a change.
@GovernorGordon People all around the world are outraged at this heinous cruelty to the young wolf. Thanks for speaking out. Please take the appropriate action. Jail time.
@GovernorGordon Will you do the right thing and make certain justice is done for the young wolf?
@GovernorGordon Then do something about it! Words are cheap but actions are costlier. Which will you be remembered for?
