I thought the whole point of being super rich is not thinking about money. Oh yeah, it is. It must not be about the money—that doesn’t make sense. It must be about the mission. You must think we need civilization for progress. Supporting politics that advance your mission is what everyone does. The minimum-wage worker is all about the Benjamins; maybe King is all about the Bennies. But most billionaires are not. They are mission-focused. Soros wants to end Western Civilization but won’t say that; Gates wants fewer people on Earth. You tell everyone what you want: Human Flourishing, Universal High Income, and flying friggin’ cars. We have your back—if they come for you, they’re coming for us.
@elonmusk@StephenKing Elon, please don’t elevate by responding. They come for you and everyone outside the party. It’s like reading The Gulag Archipelago and Atlas Shrugged at once. Stupid people are the existential threat. I’ll take SI dystopia over Idiocracy.
It's like firefighters waited till the fire was out of control. Great plan. History has shown that immediate forceful action saves the most lives and property. Waiting for the blaze to reach the point it has brings into focus that the authorities are massively outnumbered and unable to put down disorder that runs out of control without major loss to life and property.
@DataRepublican@SKDoubleDub33 FBI informants please step forward. It is impossible they are not going to fund riots. Peace protests will not result in the insurrection act.
These people are delusional. Riots or harsh words don’t invalidate Federal authority.
If they stay nonviolent they lose; if governors are stupid enough to challenge federal authority they go to jail; if they go down the violence route they lose the biggest.
It’s super cute they think they can do this. It’s a conspiracy of total idiots. Unlike France and the EU, We the People have guns, lots of them. While my turret is an airsoft M134, in an emergency I might be able to repurpose it:-)
Way before it gets there, if the Federal government is seriously challenged it has the means to take out any state government that refuses to comply.
The country has more than 3,000 counties. 95 percent are red. A civil war would be rural versus city. Not worried in the slightest.

Been working with Grokbot and AI tools for a while now. What it's really teaching me because of how it treats the bots as employees is that it does a lot of things I'd never be able to do without paying an expert serious money. It dramatically removes that cost.

I have had a lot of success with Ralph Loop variations. I like to use the best frontier models for planning and architecture. Most I the problems I have I can trace back me being ambiguous in requirements and specifications. The limit for me is my understanding how best to direct the bot team, not the bots. They do what I say too often, not what I mean. But that is not a bot versus human thing. Mistakes are so much cheaper with AI
After I get to functional prototype, I have the Big Brains (Claude Code, Opus, Grok) do a full architectural and code review. I ruthlessly focus on deleting everything that is not traced to a requirement. Delete too much and add back if it breaks. Last time I did this I went from 70k lines of code to 8k. Then I focus on release management gates. Code must be documented, readable, prior to any deployment.
So far my bot team has outperformed that vast majority of human teams I have led. The most recent realization is, why do I care if it is readable? I don't have anyone that will take the time to read it anyway. So as long as the AI can read it, change it, fix the bugs, etc. Who gives a shit
Been working with Grokbot and AI tools for a while now. What it's really teaching me — because of how it treats the bots as employees — is that it does a lot of things I'd never be able to do without paying an expert serious money. It dramatically removes that cost. But what it's revealing is that the judgment and taste decisions are the primary lane for the human using the bots. Bad taste and bad judgment? It amplifies that. Good taste and good judgment? Same. I don't know if mine is good or bad — that's for others to decide. But the limiting factor with Grokbot is really my own taste, judgment, and ability to critique what the bots create. That's the upper limit. The bots aren't good at making the thousands of decisions. The mechanistic parts of making a Pixar-type movie are fairly well understood. But taste and judgment are everything. AI won't prevent a human from having bad judgment or bad taste. The cool thing is we all now have the ability to at least reach our potential — whatever that is. Posting the explainer for Firebugs, my short-film adaptation, as proof of concept.
I agree, I am not a game dev person. But my backlog of ideas is being worked on now. I have never been so productive in my life:
- Building a Zoom app so you can summon the greatest minds in history as voice agents to any meeting you host
- Built a AI controlled turrent with an M134 Airsoft Gun and mounted it to my Cybertruck
- Working on turning one of my favorite plays into a Pixar style full length movie
- No longer log into email and read and send email, my Chief of Staff bot does that
- Deployed an options trading desk to monitize my longterm buy and hold stocks
- 10x'd my value delivery to my clients and kept the prices the same
- I have a bot build demos of everything I bookmark on X that can be built
- Built an SEO/Webdesign company for blue collar companies like Electricians and HVAC.
- the list goes on and that is just since the launch of Grokbot.
I have not been more productive or had this much fun since they launched the Evil Kenevil motor cylcle and action figure.
The work has almost always been about taste and judgment. The code serves the vision. The vision is human. Nearly every stalled dev project I've seen stalled on requirements decisions. The how has always been a wonderful and complex problem. But as the how ceases to be the bottleneck, the “what” is everything. That will always require people—strangely talented people. The boomerang I worry about is the explosion of bad ideas, bad judgment, and bad taste because it will cost nothing to produce horrible art.
@KettlebellDan I am going the opposite direction. Grokbot handles all my email. So I would have to use Grokbot to send Grokbot an email. That's a bit too much Being John Malkovich for me

The assumption that humans will need to read the code may be relevant now. But it will look ridiculous in short order. As long as AI can successfully maintain and change the codebase, who cares. For that matter, programming languages are for humans, not AI. All code ever written is destroyed when it compiles. If AI can reverse engineer Adobe, we are at the point where you really need to question why exactly we need programming languages.
