My brother was diagnosed with cancer in September. He was expecting an operation in January but it was pushed back & back and finally it was going to happen tomorrow with radiotherapy to follow in June. It's just been cancelled. Absolutely gutted for him. Our NHS is crumbling.
@GyllKing The nhs is broken, my grandfather is in early stage heart failure at 92 years old and on oxygen so known to the NHS. He was left alone collapsed on the floor waiting for five hours for an ambulance this morning. His blood oxygen was 62, barely above Hypoxemia.
@GyllKing I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what life is like, waiting Praying it's not getting worse while being denied lifesaving treatment. My own father was diagnosed and began treatment within two weeks. Waiting a year, and then another cancellation. That's cruel.
@GyllKing I'm sorry to hear this. I hope they get it sorted out for your brother and he can make a recovery regardless.
@GyllKing More people every year, pretty much the same number of hospitals, not ideal
@GyllKing I am so sorry to hear , I do hope he gets his surgery done soon , it is bad enough knowing you have cancer and then having to wait so long is very distressing, it ever used to be like this when I was working in NHS , I am really sad what has happened to NHS
