What amazes me is that other clubs do not do the same. Mark is in a position to highlight and prepare a SWOT analysis on the upcoming games. Conduct meetings with the Coaching staff and players about law interpretation. Guide them on any red card appeals etc.
Chris I could go on at length. Let’s take one aspect of a free kick near the penalty area. How consistent is a particular referee securing and ensuring 10yards(9.15m) is achieved. Does this open up any advantage to the kicker. He can track the timing of yellow cards etc
@HACKETTREF yet Dermot doesn't know what he's going to do?!!! literally the same as what he does but for a club not a platform!!
@HACKETTREF "ok lads, this ref is from the Greater Manchester area (he supports Manchester United). PGMOL is equally divided between the north, so don't worry about London teams. He will interpret the law from a Manc POV so go easy on the tackles 🫡"
@HACKETTREF Absolutely. Financial services companies have been recruiting staff from government regulators for decades specifically to give them an advantage. I don’t know why all major clubs don’t have retired refs on payroll. Who’s reffing and running the line in their training scenarios?
@HACKETTREF Pretty normal practice in the nfl. Why would you not prepare for the ref?
@HACKETTREF Clattenburgs credibility is shot after his comments about Oli McBurnie Keith. Clearly refereed with preconceived ideas on players and teams.
@HACKETTREF Watch Pardew and Souness on TalkSport on this. It's nonsense.
