Test delivery estimates before and after your order cutoff, then over a weekend or holiday. The dates should match when your team and carrier can actually work.

Free gift wrapping is a pricing choice, not a zero-cost service. Count the packaging and packing time per wrapped item, then decide whether that cost belongs in product margin or a separate charge.

Before launching a welcome code, test it in three carts: full-price items, sale items, and a mix of both. Check which items get the discount and the final price at checkout. The mixed cart is where an exclusion or stacking rule is easiest to miss.
A SKU and a barcode can sit on the same Shopify variant, but they are not substitutes. A SKU identifies an item inside your operation; a barcode usually carries an assigned trade-item identifier.

Selling 0.5 of an item changes more than the quantity field. Define the unit, price basis, inventory decrement, POS input, and fulfillment label before calling it fractional.
Different products may need different size charts. Use collections for stable groups and product-level exceptions for outliers. Test the winning chart on a real product before publishing.

Before importing a product CSV, keep an untouched export, review only the fields you intend to change, and test a small representative sample. Import success is not the same as a correct catalog.

Catalog hygiene is recurring, not a one-time cleanup. Every product change should end with three checks: Shopify source fields are complete, each sales channel accepted the update, and the live listing matches the intended variant. A saved edit is not a synced result.
Discount eligibility and price safety are different questions. A code can be valid and still push the final price below your floor. Define the boundary first, then test every allowed combination against it.

When a field changes from one value to many, a familiar spreadsheet workflow can disappear. The data model may justify the change, but merchants still need a batch path. A product change is incomplete until the replacement workflow is obvious.
When checkout shows no shipping rates, debug the path in order: product availability, fulfillment location, shipping profile, zone, and rate. One missing link can make the whole checkout look broken.

A reporting request often hides two different jobs: building the right dataset and delivering it on a schedule. Define the grain and columns first—date, SKU, refunds, and location-level on-hand—then decide whether the result belongs in a dashboard, export, or daily email.
When a storefront element disappears, identify what renders the page first: the theme section, an app block, or a page builder. Editing Dawn will not fix markup generated somewhere else.
A countdown only helps when the deadline is real. State what ends, use the correct time zone, and decide what shoppers see at zero—often the best choice is for the bar to disappear.

An OAuth “Connect Shopify” button is still a Shopify app. The button can live in a standalone SaaS, but the client ID, redirect URI, requested scopes, and token exchange still belong to an app. A simpler interface does not remove the permission boundary.
A completed product CSV import is not the finish line. Spot-check variant counts, options, SKUs, barcodes, and Online Store publication before trusting the catalog.
Inventory above zero does not prove a Shopify product is buyable. Check status, Online Store publication, market catalog, online fulfillment location, and shipping coverage as one path.

Low-stock alerts should fire when inventory crosses a threshold, not every time it remains below one. Compare the previous and current quantity so one SKU entering “low” sends one alert; reset the condition only after stock rises again.
