@Admyral1 Wow, yes, keep stacking those DATUM 0.00000001 BTC blocks. The sha256 network is shaking, and Foundry is trembling. And you, single handedly fixed stratum v1 centralization… on Ocean... which is an already captured pool.

@Beautyon_ This is like a false binary, either institutions equal success or you're a socialist. Resistance to state and institutions adoption don't have to be mutually exclusive. Bitcoin can bring real capital and still keep its properties that make it hard for govs to control or steer.

CAPTURE Part 4: THE MACHINE The fourth and final installment is out. Bitcoin Magazine wasn’t just covering the fight over Bitcoin’s future. Its parent operated an Ordinals trading desk, invested in businesses tied to the ecosystem, and maintained editorial policies that exempted parts of that same business. Then came an $80,000/month marketing contract, with an option for Nakamoto Inc. to buy BTC Inc at a valuation tied to its earnings, in a window that included the OP_RETURN fight. Nakamoto exercised the option. Readers were not consistently told about these commercial relationships. A documented investigation into the commercial interests and media infrastructure surrounding the Bitcoin Core controversy. citadel21.com/the-machine

@JoeNakamoto I truly love playing and hanging out with you, Joe. So I say this as a friend. Dismissing the work of the most thoughtful and thoughrogh journalist in Bitcoin as something people should TL;DR is not a good look. I know you might think Mr. Cat is your enemy, but he is not. On

@AsyncN8 If more Bitcoiners had balls and actually practiced the principles that they preached, we could definitely win. But too many Bitcoin influencers are optimizing for their own personal careers instead. The space is full of spooks too, and too few seem to notice or care

The lows these people will sink to, in covering for Adam and the shitstorm at Blockstream. Pretending there is nothing to see, and now resorting to making up complete lies about Matthew Kratter being behind another independent researcher. Time will expose all of them.

@BitcoinWifey No on XBT. Hard 100% yes on SHA256. Self custody means Nada on SHA256 Realistically, I wouldn't hold that long. For sure I would have sold long before the 1M

Talking about "self-custody" on a network with mining as centralized as Bitcoin is as a silly as thinking you have sovereignty over the money in your bank account because you're the only person who knows your login password.

@MountainHodl21 Spamcoin launched Aug 8th. The former miners left Bitcoin for their airdrop scamcoin. Bitcoin continued on. The BLAKE2b HF wasn't until Aug 30, and there was no split over it.

@BalaiBB >>the most dangerous attack in crypto this year wasn’t a line of code Don't downplay Coldcard's incompetence, possibility of malicious intent, or what they actually did. It's very possible that the line of code was deliberately inserted and left dormant for years.

@boomer_btc Yes, but even if your opposition came first, the conflict of interest is still there. Anything that threatens the SHa256 chain hits your business directly. That doesn't magically disappear just because the timeline lines up. Your opinions on this are biased.

Stunning insight from a man whose entire livelihood is Sha256 ASICs. His multimillion dollar warehouse will be expensive useless space heaters on Blake2b. But don’t worry, this is pure, unbiased technical analysis. Nothing to see here. x.com/BtcInfinitySho…

This week, @boomer_btc unpacks life after BIP-110: mining its first signaling block, why he later stepped back, and why he sees no path for the Blake2b fork. He also gets into Ocean, FPPS vs TIDES, DATUM and independent miners, SegWit spam, miners vs hashers, and corporations on

@boomer_btc You backed BIP110 and that's fair. But you run a mining pool and own SHA256 ASICs. Of course you won't support Blake2b. Your business needs the Sha256 to win. That conflict of interest is huge. People should keep it in mind when they weigh your take on the Blake2b chain.

@boomer_btc I could be wrong. But the pattern is hard to ignore. This is how the fiat world has always worked: follow the incentives ($$$$$$$..), trust no one.

I don't think @boomer_btc fully considered downsides of backing BIP110. His early support didn't account for miners sticking with SHA256: turning that chain into shitcoin hard fork. Once risk became clear, he realized his ASIC livelihood would collapse if he kept backing Blake2b.
