Some idiot commentator on @MSNBC (!?) said we should ask kids protesting Gaza how they feel about America and capitalism, implying they hated both. Chucklefuck forgets old guys were saying the same shit about Vietnam protestors in the 1960s. And we-then are the old farts now.
NB: This has nothing to do with how I feel about what's going on in Gaza. But I am able to recognize irony when it slaps me in the face.
@HNTurtledove @MSNBC Pretty sure a lot of the kids who protested in the 1960's are the ones complaining about kids protesting war today. Not ALL, but, I have seen a lot of them shift to conservative
@HNTurtledove @MSNBC My question is who benefits from the protests I see netanyahu, trump, and republicans candidates Who is behind the organization of these gatherings
@HNTurtledove @MSNBC Thought the same thing when I heard him say that - where is the cultural frame of reference? History- no one seems to care.
@HNTurtledove @MSNBC The protestors aren't familiar with history since 1900.
@HNTurtledove @MSNBC Amen, was there, still here and ready to stand with the protesters, again…
@HNTurtledove @MSNBC The only difference I see is: we were the ones who couldn’t vote and were being drafted to fight in a war that we didn’t believe in while the rich kids seem to be able to avoid
@HNTurtledove @MSNBC Not just old farts- ‘thoughts and farts’
