You need two things to be able to grow. 1. The ability to feel like you are enough. 2. The knowledge that even though you are enough, you can get better. You have innate value by being alive. You have the potential to change the world by becoming the person you could be.

Allowing myself to fully feel all my emotions has allowed me to move past things much quicker than I have in the past. Don’t hide from them, don’t bottle them up, don’t bury your head in the sand. Feel everything. And remember, this too shall pass.

You’ll get it wrong. You’ll have regrets. You’ll constantly question yourself. You’ll panic about the future. The important thing is you get to choose those regrets. Take the responsibility and follow through

It is never easy you will always question yourself and you will never know if you were right until it’s over

The majority of problems that we experience are due to a lack of self-awareness. I will die on that hill

Do at least 1-2 warm up sets before your top set! Going straight in at a heavy weight will limit the amount you can do!

If there are endless things I can improve on, then what I measure as success will define how successful I am. You can always get more micro on a task, and the more micro you go, the more focus it takes, more focus takes more time. So when time is limited don’t go micro

The goal with squatting is keeping the bar and centre of mass over the middle of your foot. If you can do this, the weight feels a lot lighter than if you are shifting onto your toes or too much in your heals. I don’t want to see someone’s back angle change during the descent

The goal isn’t to be right, it is do find out what is right. Do not poison the water with your own drive for power. Search for the truth and to increase your understanding of that truth

Don’t you dare go hollow

When you have no motivation to train you just need to tick boxes. You need to go anyway. All it took is 1 good session and I am back to looking forward to training. Most people quit before that good session. If you keep going for long enough, that good session will happen.

People use their life and their situation to do things they probably shouldn’t do

Our internal motivation will be driven from external factors. We are made up of our experiences of the world. Meaning the more external motivation we get from something, with enough positive experiences, will become an internal motivation.

What if every bad thing that has happened to you is a good thing? What if every bad thing that will happen to you is a good thing?

You can be bad at something and not beat yourself up for it btw

Think long term. worrying about what others think and having FOMO is going to keep you stuck in the same place that you are right now. Think about your future, think about what you want, and do everything you can to make it come true. Everything else is a distraction

People make decisions based on feelings rather than logic. They don’t play out their decisions in their mind. At least not fully. And if they do they only think of the result they wish to get from their choice and not all the possibilities that could occur.

It’s hard to live up to the person I know I can be, and that’s why a lot of life feels uncertain. I am constantly questioning if the standard I have set is to high, or is am I just not at that level yet?
