Gav really does hate everyone in schools doesn’t he. He shows utter contempt for schools and teachers. Given the utter shambles he’s presided over I have to say the feel exactly the same about him.

Because grammar schools are such great engines of levelling up: local girls grammar has sent out an email to parents saying "The equestrian club is for those students who already ride, have access to their own horse or pony and transport..." That'll flatten inequalities won't it?

@NewHeadteacher The crazy thing is we,as HTs, are being told to take advice and follow guidance (poorly written!) by people who have NEVER led a school in a pandemic.They're all around us... telling us what to do.. but they've never had to do it. What sort of system allows this to happen?!

A quick message to ever teacher, member of SLT and headteacher. This term is going to be long and challenging with very little respite. Look after each other. It will also be utterly brilliant to get all the children back in school and to do the job we’re all here for.

Just for clarity...the money that was used to create a headline about reversing years of Tory funding cuts is the same money now being used to create headlines about increasing teacher pay. Now my choice is pay rises versus redundancies. There is no middle ground and no new money
