Many teachers even in places like Blackburn etc where living is significantly cheaper than London, end up leaving madāris or reduce their hours. The reason being it’s just not sustainable or practical when responsible over a family. They want to continue teaching but can’t.

There needs to be a movement among the 'ulama and Maktab teachers advocating for fairer pay. In today's economy, the wages are appallingly low—many are effectively working two or three jobs just to make ends meet. This is simply not sustainable.
