Keep building on Tapeout. Building the most powerful applications on BNB Chain.

Vite and plenty of other frameworks have a public folder
Whatever's in it gets copied into dist as is
Sometimes a .env backup or a data export ends up in there for convenience
Run the build and now it's in dist
Uploads are permanent
Open dist and take a look before you upload
Private keys, API keys, env files and database passwords don't belong in there
For HashPort, verifiable content offers a complementary approach
Individual content versions can be identified through hashes, while new versions can be published without changing the integrity of earlier ones
The objective is not to prevent every change
It is to make the content being
Decentralization does not mean every piece of digital infrastructure must become permanently immutable
Some systems require stable ownership rules
Others need the ability to publish new content and release updated versions
The important question is who controls those changes and whether users can verify them
TapeOut's latest milestone strengthens the permission boundaries surrounding existing Processor assets
HashPort approaches trust from another layer, where website files can be published On Chain and their content verified through hashes
A decentralized application needs more than reliable ownership records
Users should also be able to verify what they are actually accessing
The future of DeWEB is not simply about putting websites On Chain
It is about making the relationship between digital identity, content, and verification more transparent
For HashPort, the broader challenge is making digital content independently verifiable at the point of access
Trust in the underlying protocol and trust in the interface are different questions
A verified smart contract does not automatically make every interface connected to it trustworthy
A contract may have clearly defined permissions, while the website used to access it can still change independently
Users may verify the contract address, but they also need to know whether the interface is displaying the intended code and content
Trust should not end at the smart contract
It also matters how users access and verify what has been deployed
TapeOut's decision to permanently seal administrative control over the relevant contracts of existing Processor projects represents an important shift
Within the scope of those permissions, the rules no longer depend on the founding team's continued authority to modify them
But for users, another question remains
How can they independently verify that the application or content they are accessing corresponds to what they intend to trust?
This is one of the fundamental questions behind DeWEB
On Chain ownership defines rights through verifiable contracts
Verifiable access helps users establish confidence in the content and interfaces through which they interact with those systems
Trust should be supported by evidence, not only by promises
If a site lives on decentralized storage, is trust gone
Not necessarily
Storage and delivery change, the questions don't
Which version am I opening
Does it match what was expected
Can the entry point send me to different data
Who controls updates to the content reference
A hash doesn't prove every statement in the data is true
It answers a narrower question
Is this the content I meant to get
Narrow, but exact
That difference matters for DeWEB
A secure connection and content integrity are two different things
Content hashes give you another way to check
Compare what you received with the expected hash and you know if it changed
HTTPS is about delivering safely
Verification is about whether what arrived is what you expected
@BruceBlue's UCO experiment has opened new discussion on digital machines and verifiable state
From a DeWEB view, we care about one more thing
Can users reach these systems without relying on a single content provider
From underlying state to the interface
Every trust boundary deserves a look
Open source and content integrity are two questions
One makes code open to inspection
The other asks whether users receive the version they should
DeWEB wants to bring verification to where people actually browse
Transparency shouldn't stop at publishing the source
The source is public
Does that mean users get that version
Not necessarily
Nothing automatically ties what loads in the browser to the public repo
Build, deploy, delivery, updates each add a layer in between
DeWEB is exploring the other half
Not just verifying the underlying data
But also the content users actually open
Trustworthy computation and trustworthy access are different things
Without both, verification is only half done
Computation can be verified
Public rules, results anyone can recheck
But users rarely touch the protocol itself
What they see are websites, interfaces, app entry points
If those can't be verified, they still have to trust whoever delivers the content
Websites shouldn't disappear with their servers
Code someone wrote should still open, still verify, still be usable by whoever comes next
That's the place HashPort wants to build
The frontend stays on chain, and so does where it came from
So the next person can pick it up
