hashspan doesn't pick a number itself, it follows whatever the agent waits for. if the code waits for say 3 confirmations, then once that wait ends hashspan reads the receipt again, and if a reshuffle moved or dropped the tx the trace shows the new block or not onchain. how many you need really depends on the chain and how much is at stake

building in public #2 · hashspan v0.12.0 - sometimes the chain reshuffles its last few blocks while an agent waits for a payment to settle. hashspan now checks again at the end, so the trace shows where the payment really landed, or that it's not onchain anymore - fees someone else covered, like an x402 facilitator or a paymaster, now get their own label. so a chart of what an agent spent counts only what it paid itself changelog 👉 hashspan.dev/changelog open source 👉 github.com/selimaytac/has…
