4. #ACIP discussing whether CDC should recommend states vaccinate by age groups under 65 (ie by decade). Chairman José Romero strongly disagreed with the idea, saying it's an easier way to vaccinate but it abandons any effort to use equity as a guiding principle.
5. For context, Britain's equivalent of #ACIP, the JCVI, is recommending vaccinating by age bands for younger adults when there is enough vaccine. Their argument: It's easier.
6. #ACIP is not taking any votes today. But CDC has asked it to discuss several question. This is an interesting process, something that ACIP often does. "Tell us what you think" they are asked. From there, future recommendations often flows.
