Here's a cool thing in Sequencer: If you have a variable and a function with an input with the same name but "Set" at the start Sequencer will actually run the function when you set the variable in the timeline! In this situation I have "LightColor" and "SetLightColor". #UETips
This lets you set up multiple things to run when a variable changes instead of slapping something on tick. I guess this would also be a great alternative to using "Run Construction Scripts in Sequencer"?
As a heads up: You also need Call In Editor checked!
@HighlySpammable Don't tell anyone up there, but I have never used sequencer.
@HighlySpammable I swear this used to only work properly on components and not actors, maybe that's fixed now it was a while ago.
@HighlySpammable While the functionality may be great, as a c++ programmer honestly stuff like this where behaviour is dependent on some magic name matching or similar just drives me nuts. It makes diagnosing issues so much harder. Same with UMG bindings and 'Return Value'.
