कल की आस में आज भी गवां बैठे, दोस्तों की महफ़िल छोड़ दुश्मनों में आ बैठे, जिनको दी थी हमने अपने घर की चाभी, वही उसे लूटने के वास्ते पहली सफ़ में आ बैठे।
अजब दौर से गुज़र रही है ज़िंदगी, जिंदा रहने की चाह में रोज़ मर रहे हैं, जिनके वास्ते सब कुछ लुटा बैठे हम, वही हमसे ज़िंदगी का हिसाब मांग रहे हैं।
तुमने ठुकराया तो ख़ुद से मिल पाए हम, कभी कुछ खोना भी मिलने का सबब होता है।
सबको सफर करना है तय कहीं न कहीं, कुछ देर आओ ठहर जाए कहीं न कहीं, बिछड़ भी गए तो मिलेंगे तुमसे कहीं न कहीं, इस जहां के पार जहां और भी हैं कहीं न कहीं, हमारे निशान छुपा के रखना कहीं न कहीं, बिछड़ भी गए तो मिलेंगे तुमसे...
नए ज़माने में वो पुराना इश्क कर बैठी, कोई समझाओ वो कैसा गुनाह कर बैठी, अब तो रिश्ता बस पल दो पल का है, वो तमाम उम्र उसके नाम कर बैठी, अब आग तो सिर्फ बदन की बची है, वो चूल्हे की आग पर उंगली जला बैठी, ये कैसा गुनाह कर बैठी.. पुराना इश्क कर बैठी।
क्या कहें क्या क्या न हुआ रात भर, बेइंतहा रहा सुबह का इंतज़ार रात भर, इस कदर तन्हाइयों ने घेरा हमको रात भर, खुदी से डरने लगे हम रात भर, दरवाज़ा घर का खुला रखते हैं रात भर, तुम चौखट पे न इंतज़ार करो रात भर, न नींद आई, न तुम आए, बस याद आई रात भर।
हादसे हमारे साथ कुछ ऐसे हुए, हमारा कत्ल हुआ और हम ही क़ातिल हुए।
काम कुछ ऐसा करो की आसमां भी झुक जाए, तुम्हारी जीत इतनी शानदार हो की हर आंख नम हो जाए, जिधर से तुम निकलो, वो रास्ता तुम्हारे नाम हो जाए, और बुलंदी इतनी हो, की बच्चो के नाम तुम्हारे नाम पर हो जाए।
कभी आसमां कभी जमीं पर हूं, मैं आज कल उनकी सोच में हूं, सोचता कुछ करता कुछ और हूं, क्या कहूं मैं किसकी गिरफ्त में हूं, इस हाल में, उनके ख्याल में हूं, एक सवाल हू, जवाब की तलाश में हूं।
पहले खुद पर, अब सितारों पर यकीन है, जिंदगी कई बरसों गर्दिश में गुज़र की है, जिन्हें दोस्त कहते थे हम बड़े गुमान से, उन्होंने बताया की हमने बड़ी भूल की है, मासूम हम भी कम नहीं थे इस बाज़ार में, जेब में पैसा नहीं और खिलौने की चाहत की है।
तबियत नासाज़ थी, अब ठीक है तुम्हारे आने के बाद, बेचैनी बेइंतिहा थी, अब ठीक है तुम्हारे आने के बाद, ख्याल बेशुमार थे, अब ठीक है तुम्हारे आने के बाद, मैं कुछ और था, अब कुछ और हूं तुम्हारे आने के बाद।
तुम्हारे इंतज़ार में, तुम्हारे ही खुमार में, हम जागते हैं रात भर न जाने किस की आस में, न बदन की हमको जुस्तुजू, न कोई रोग प्यार में, बस देख ले तुम्हे आंख भर, जीएंगे तुम्हारे ख्वाब में, मौत से भी गिला नहीं गर गुज़र जाए ज़िंदगी तुम्हारे इंतज़ार में।
खता हमसे इतनी सी हुई, प्यार किया पर जताया नही, इस बाज़ार में लुट गए पर एहसान जताया नही, जिम्मेदारियां सब निभाई हमने, पर उफ ज़ुबान पर लाया नही, अब तमाशा हमारी मौत भी बन गई, खत्म हो गए और भीड़ में कोई अपना आया भी नही।
दुनिया के इस बाज़ार में गम बेशूमार मिलते हैं, अजब शहर है तेरा, यहां दोस्तों के भेस में धोखे कई बार मिलते हैं, बस मिल नहीं पाते हम खुद से, मिलने को लोग हमसे हज़ार मिलते हैं।
अपने मन से कौन अपना आशियां छोड़ता है, मजबूरियां इस तरह घेर लेती हैं की घर छूटता है, अभी भी उस बरामदे में मेरा बचपन रहता है, आज भी उन कमरों में मेरा अक्स बस्ता है, हम भूलना भी चाहे तो यादें लेकर जाती हैं, उसी घर मेरे मां का प्यार, पिता की सीख रहती है।
घुटने लगे जब दम, तुम कुछ देर ठहर जाया करो सांसे जोड़ लीं है तुमसे, तुम समझ जाया करो, जो कह नही पाती तुमसे, तुम मुझसे किया करो, तकती हूं राह तुम्हारी दिन रात, तुम आया करो, हाथ कभी थामा था तुमने, साथ निभाया करो, गलती कभी मुझसे हो जाए, डांट के मनाया करो घुटने लगे जब दम...........
हमने रात को जागते, सुबह को सोते देखा है, मत पूछिए, ज़माने में क्या क्या होते देखा है।
खुरेद के देखो, उस घर की दीवार पर नाम हमारा मिलेगा, जो लोग कब्ज़ा करते हैं, उनमें नया बनाने की काबिलियत कहां होती है।
