HomeGuard Weather @HomeGuardApp

@TheBuffaloNews Bye week's for getting things dialed in. Same at home: the heat's kicking on, so swap that furnace filter.

Sunny through the weekend and near 66 Sunday. Late October in Buffalo. Nobody say a word. Go Bills

Sunny all weekend, near 65 Sunday. Wash and wax the car on a dry day so the paint's protected before the salt trucks roll.

@WETM18StormTeam Two months on the calendar. Upstate snow has never been big on reading calendars.

@WHEC_SPensgen That slide is your cue to book the snow tire swap now, before everyone wants the same week.

@wxcory Sunny and dry is window weather. Hose down the outside glass now, before you're coiling it up for the season.

@Wxandgardenguy Even the frost is dressed up for Halloween. Ice scraper goes back in the car now, before the frost stops being cute.

Sunny Saturday, near 66 Sunday. Good weekend to scrape the grates, clean the grill and get the cover on before the snow.

@owenbasselmanwx Sunny Saturday makes it AC day. Hose the leaves off the outdoor unit and cover just the top so moisture can't get trapped.

@patty_chapman @Ritzy199 First one of the season, enjoy it. Clear skies, but grab a layer for the chilly walk out. Let's go Buffalo

@news10nbc Enjoy the view, but hold off on the gutters. Clean 'em once the trees are mostly bare, or you're doing it twice.

Mostly sunny through Sunday and near 67 by then. Good weekend to power wash the siding and walks while things still dry fast.

@news4buffalo Frosty mornings are a free attic test. Roof patch melting way before the rest? Check the insulation there.

New foliage report just dropped! Areas west of Rochester and Rt. 390 are now at peak, the Southern Tier is almost past peak, and the Finger Lakes will be peaking over the next few days. Couldn't ask for better timing, with this weekend's weather expected to be excellent.

Hard freeze this morning in #ROC with a low of 32. 26 in Honeoye Falls, 26 in Walworth. Average first freeze for Rochester is Oct 19...so... pretty much spot on!

Low near 36 tonight, mostly sunny and 59 Thursday. If daylight's sneaking under the garage door, that bottom seal's due before the snow blows in.

@JMLScanner 63 and clear is a good afternoon to knock the dirt off the garden tools and oil the metal so they don't rust all winter.

@NWSBinghamton Terracotta and ceramic pots would rather spend tonight in the garage. Wet soil freezes, expands and cracks them.

@TORNADOOFDOOM2 @NWSBUFFALO Frosty grass is one to stay off till it thaws. Walking on it snaps the blades and leaves brown footprints.

Clear tonight, low near 38. Mostly sunny Thursday near 60. Heating season's here, so test the CO detectors and swap weak batteries.
