The incredible thing I found about Half-Life: Alyx is that the level design feels similar to the original games, but they work so well in VR! I also love how the designers at Valve dared to push the players beyond their comfort zone. Just amazing. #HalfLifeAlyx #VR #gamedesign

Ori and the Blind Forest is a masterpiece, except for a few cases where you really question the level design. The Mount Horu escape sequence in particular is really frustrating, with no visual cues at all as to indicate what comes next and not nearly as enough time to respond

Titans and their epic scale have always been one of my most memorable moments from the #GodofWar franchise. In the latest release, the level designers cleverly used Thamur's Corpse as an integral part of the level. #GodofWarDesign #leveldesign #gamedesign #gamedev #gamemap #GIF

Commonly used for dungeon levels, Hub-based maps consist of a Central Hall with several branching Rooms. Tyr's Vault from #GodofWar gives the Player a feeling of going down the rabbit hole, only to reemerge with a sigh of relief. #GodofWarDesign #leveldesign #gamedesign #gamedev

Fog creates an ambiguous atmosphere around the environment by blurring out the edges and boundaries of and between spaces. In #GodofWar, it is also used as an agent to elicit a wide range of emotional reactions from the Player. #GodofWarDesign #leveldesign #gamedesign #gamedev
