@JezCorden Unfairly!?! Come on Jez, you can’t even say that with a straight face. This could be one of the most disingenuous Xbox takes in all of history. 🤦🏼‍♂️

@JezCorden It only feels this way now? Gears has been better than Halo for a very long time now. Halo has no chance of being a flagship of anything unless another developer takes over.

@JezCorden It’s a no win situation for Xbox. The brand damage being what it is and the trust consumers have for Xbox being at an all time low demands they have Steam on it to be considered. But putting Steam on Helix will effectively kill the platform as no one will buy from Microsoft.

@tomwarren @DestinLegarie This brand is so far gone even with the change in leadership. Always performative with the usual lookie loo while self destructing behind the curtain. The sad part is how many people fall for it over and over again while studios get tossed to the curb every 6 months.

@TheBigPlume I don’t know how made up it is. Game pass needs to fundamentally change. It’s clear the business model is not viable and hasn’t been for a while. The program has been cannibalizing sales for years. Take the fanboy hat off and consider things objectively for once.

@Colteastwood I’d rather just wait. Not interested in rent to own options. Either I buy it or I don’t. But honestly they should just wait and actually let current gen reach its potential. I know im not the first to say that this gen has been underwhelming to say the least.

@JezCorden The same as I have for the better part of 15+ years of mismanagement with this company. To approach them with anything other than skepticism is foolish. All of the truth is on a timer for them. “The plan is the plan, until it’s not the plan.”

@Octo_Rox @JezCorden Hate to break it to you. You should have been concerned about investing in this company a decade ago. They are so obviously untrustworthy.

@xMBGx I feel the same as I’ve always felt about them. 15+years of mismanagement will prepare you for this.

@JezCorden @Romudeth It needs to be all single player games exclusive. Trust has been eroded purposefully by MS over the last few years. Continuing the same old “case by case” mantra just produces more uncertainty and lack of confidence in the brand.

@JuiceHead33 What transparency? It sounds like the same old “case by case” Microsoft to me. They need to pick a direction, and stick to it. They either want to be a platform or they want to be a developer. The constant uncertainty with this stuff is anything but transparent.

@JezCorden It should be. Gears has been better than Halo for a very long time.

@asha_shar congrats on your first show. Thank you for considering the players voice and presenting some value in the platform again. Keep up the good work.

@Gamefantweets @asha_shar It doesn’t matter what the price is or what it can or can’t do performance wise. If it doesn’t allow for additional storefronts like Steam, it will be niche at best. There won’t be a real reason to invest in one with Xbox’s current trajectory.

@AlexNC36 @farigued_zoro @Gamefantweets @asha_shar Agreed, no chance Helix will be modular.

@kristof56083868 @alesyroff @JezCorden @SweetSoulBr0tha If they’re serious about reviving the brand, they will have to accept losses in the short and mid term to turn this around. They spent years damaging the brand. Powering through the losses is the only right answer. Optics is the most important currency for them right now.

@JezCorden And referring to Xbox currently as being in a golden age is just disingenuous. There hasn’t been a golden age for Xbox since the 360 era. After 15+ years of mismanagement , finally having games outside of the tired Halo, Gears, and Forza is nothing to write home about.

@JezCorden Nobody is taking Xbox for granted when there is other platform options available to them. We just demand them to be better. There’s been too many pivots, self destructive policies/choices towards the brand, and a blatant disregard for the console customer who built them.

@JPipo86 @asha_shar Think about something else. That console is dead and a waste of money. It’s a good piece of hardware, but they’ve given up on that box. Need more significant course correction from Xbox before trust can actually be built. Need more than just words and platitudes.
