@Redlinkkid @wakazhi You don’t even need to be that deep. Just bring Akane Banashi which is one of the newest popular battle shounen and they’ll miss it too because it has a bit of Japanese culture instead of flash fights.

@WilliamElmwood @Sakenmilove That’s a faulty argument. 兄 / 弟 are Kanjis which means they come from Chinese, and in Chinese one character = one syllable. In this sense it’s superior than English according to your logic.

@thielux @migurd_greyrat Movies were pretty much 1:1 adaptations of novels bar new scenes connecting to CCA movies.

@Adept091 @migurd_greyrat Origin is not canon to Hathaway. Only Tomino’s TV series are needed. MSG 0079 (movies acceptable), Z (TV only), ZZ, CCA (movie), then Hathaway

@migurd_greyrat The author leaned left but also criticised how their goals are out of touch from ordinaries, and how much they’re driven by personal traumas instead of having a clear path to their goal. Very relevant to today’s Western leftism yet most modern anime watchers wouldn’t watch it.

@migurd_greyrat Gundam Hathaway 2nd movie. It’s adapted from a novel that wrapped up early Gundam Universal Century by its original creator. It was peak political/psychological drama which explored in depth the mind of failed revolutionaries. Best understood if you know Zenkyoto events.

@thielux @migurd_greyrat The novels were written in 1989. Tourist spotted.

@MON0EYE Nitpick: ankle armour took on chest break’s grey colour instead of brick red

@MachuNoKintama This is one of the best tier lists on X. The two SS entries will get even better when they finish adapting the novels.

@ChibiReviews Because it's not interesting and not really about true left. Gundam does it much better being written by a true leftist instead of modern progressive larpers.

@gundam_news105 I’ll wait until his Mafty speech in third movie before reaching conclusion. Kensho Ono played inner Hathaway brilliantly but I’m a little disappointed in his portrayal’s lack of charm when interacting with his Mafty crew.

@HobbyClubhouse It was planned before Heine’s GoufIgnited was released. For example that kit has gate switches for the upper shin armour which shouldn’t be required for all other colour variants of Gouf Ignited.
