As a celebration of Disney's 100th anniversary, the filmmakers behind Wish did consider going full 2D in a nod to its roots. Executive producer/writer Jennifer Lee tells IGN why they ultimately didn't take that approach. bit.ly/46mNpfQ
@IGN Claiming hand drawn is limited in approach while still using the same visual style for character designs since Tangled is a weird nod of hypocrisy if I've ever seen one. The only limit with hand drawn is your imagination, not to mention it's literally possible to blend it with CG
@IGN There’s so much irony to this when Disney has been using an extremely lazy form 3D animation and their films all look the exact same.
@IGN Modern Disney could never pull this off.
@IGN Executives who make excuses like this should be thrown in jail
@IGN They should go back to 2D it looks better
@IGN The only limitation is your imagination. Truly shows that Disney is a good reason why there’s barely any theatrical 2D movies made in the West.
@IGN Animation (Art itself) is literally the definition of NO BOUNDARIES... hahahaha!!. This is a joke and an insult.
