Just arrived in Dubai for the #WorldMaritimeDay Parallel Event, hosted by the UAE. I toured the Maritime Exhibition—showcasing innovative solutions for the industry—and had the honour of opening the event under the theme: Our Ocean – Our Obligation – Our Opportunity.

"Maritime Leaders: Fit for Purpose? That was the focus of the WISTA UK & Seatrade Maritime event at #LISW, where I shared how IMO leadership is rooted in #diversity and #inclusion—essential values for the future of maritime."
At #LISW we discussed #ClimateAction in shipping and progress toward 5-10% uptake of alternative fuels & 20-30% emissions cuts by 2030. I am encouraged by the industry’s enthusiasm - the IMO’s #NetZeroFramework will provide the regulatory certainty needed to drive the transition.
I delivered the keynote at the ZESTAs Windships event, part of the #LISW series. I spoke on how new technologies are driving innovation toward #decarbonization — and encouraged everyone to keep leading the way, showing what’s possible.

Wrapping up my visit to Panama, I had productive meetings with Panama Canal Administrator & the Panamanian Maritime Chamber. It was also a pleasure to speak with the next generation of maritime leaders @umaritima & connect with IMO @MTCC_LAmerica. Vital for a sustainable future.
