This is now a con I will never feel safe attending. And it's not just about Covid. How am I supposed to believe they'll actually peace bond weapons, or enforce bag checks, if they feel it's okay to modify safety terms this drastically right before the event?

Back in 2020, it was inconceivable to me that the 1918 pandemic was ever so "forgotten." But now, it makes perfect sense. As a society, we're collectively doing our damndest to forget this one too. Even as it's raging on and people are dying. 14/

Rent in New York is un-payable, so many ppl got evicted they ran out of lawyers for tenants, and there's a war on the homeless. But politicians wont pass good housing laws, and when folks went up to the capitol to protest today, 50 got arrested. This isn't a functional democracy.
