Late to AI? Same. Plain-English guides for people with real jobs and zero tech degree.
No BS, just AI.

@TheBizExplorers Good one. Three prompts that make the first week stick:
1. "Here's how I do [task] now, step by step. Which steps can you do for me?"
2. "Turn that into a checklist I can reuse every week."
3. "What should I check by hand before I trust your output?"
@nilesh070 Happened to me too. What fixed it:
Paste 3 texts you wrote before AI and ask "Describe my writing voice in 5 rules." Save them.
Before sending anything: "Rewrite this with my 5 rules. Cut every line that sounds like an assistant."
Sounds like you again.
@priyankdeep78 Been there. What stretched my limits:
1. Open each session with "Only read the files I name. Ask before opening others."
2. Fresh chat (or /compact) the second a task is done
3. Plan in a cheap chat model, paste the plan in
Bankruptcy postponed a week 🐢
@tdesseyn Step 2 is where AI earns its keep. Paste the week's log in and ask:
"Where is my search leaking: applications, replies, or calls? Name the one fix that moves the most."
Then: "Turn that fix into 5 moves, each a person, a channel and a day."
@litigationai Two more I'd add before signing:
"Which fees, renewal or early-exit terms here are unusual for a residential lease? Quote them."
"Write the 3 questions I should ask the landlord in writing before I sign."
The in-writing part is what saves you later.
@Dinma_xoxo1 Honestly depends on the job.
Long writing, docs, sounding human: Claude
Voice, images, quick everyday stuff: ChatGPT
Easy test: paste the same ask into both free versions:
"Rewrite this so it sounds like me, not a robot: [text]"
One try and you'll feel it.
@janarhertz Uses past secretarial that tend to hold up:
"Check this proof line by line and name the first step that doesn't follow."
"Look for a counterexample to this lemma."
"What known results is this argument quietly assuming?"
Still needs a human on every line.
@y4shicam Free tiers handle practice fine. Test one first with:
"Quiz me on [topic] one question at a time. Wait for my answer, then show exactly where my reasoning broke."
"Give me 5 harder versions of the one I just got wrong."
Only pay if you hit the daily limit.
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Copilot... and you just want to know which one to open.
I made a free 1-page picker: tell it what you need help with, it points you to the right free tool plus the first prompt to type. 🐢
@Fiskantes Prompts aren't magic words. They're the right question for one job. Talk to it like a person, say the outcome you want, give one example. That covers most of it. Free: 10 plain starter prompts for exactly this. Unofficial, not affiliated. imlatetoai.gumroad.com/l/iecyv
@RamSingh_369 Best tip in this whole thread: ask the AI to ask YOU questions first. If you're stuck on ChatGPT vs Claude vs Grok, I made a free picker. Unofficial, not affiliated. imlatetoai.gumroad.com/l/gmzljz
@The_techAI Great list. If you want the short version before the courses, here's a Claude + Grok cheat sheet I keep open while I work. Unofficial, not affiliated. imlatetoai.gumroad.com/l/kdhxpn
@Gaus450 Honest answer: running free models takes a decent computer and some setup. The paid apps are easy and add search, files and voice. Use free until you hit a wall. I made a free picker for this exact question. Unofficial, not affiliated. imlatetoai.gumroad.com/l/gmzljz
@ai_explorer25 Even if prompts matter less, knowing which tool to open still trips people up. Free 1-page picker for which AI fits what you need, free vs paid. Unofficial, not affiliated. imlatetoai.gumroad.com/l/gmzljz
Teachers: AI detectors can't prove a student cheated.
Here's what AI can do: draft rubrics, lessons and parent emails. This guide covers that, plus FERPA and COPPA so you stay on the right side.
28 pages, 30 prompts. $15.
Buying land? Ask AI this before you call the seller: "List every question I should ask about power, water, septic and road access for this lot."
