@SoNigerian_ some do because they’ve lived all their lives as fake life so they must hold the big wedding. Many of them fell to direct or indirect peer pressures. However we must acknowledge that some did it just of their own pure will.

@SoNigerian_ Isaac I quite disagree with you, concept of big weddings for some people is peer pressure and the feeling to belong or feel comparable. Some borrow funds because their friends had big weddings and they can’t afford to have a small one.

Which is a crazy stereotype - as it actually looks down on those of them that are genuinely working hard

@SoNigerian_ another popular stereotype is about female realtors in Nigeria especially Lagos and Abuja. Especially if these ladies are doing quite well in their field, there’s the believe that many of them just have warmed clients sheets

@SoNigerian_ Isaac unfortunately, Dami won this round of songs for the week. Aileyipada by simisola is a forever jam.@OfficialNiniola talent extraordinaire, her jams 100%. But How is harmless crush micro-cheating, do we also say admiration is micro-cheating?

@SoNigerian_ for upcoming 5th year anniversary, listeners are encouraged to tag their favourite episodes or rather drop one nugget you’ve learnt or got reminded of from so Nigerian podcast. 2. perhaps a second live event in summer to specially celebrate the 5th year anniversary?

Moving to Finland If you followed me because of my comment on this post, I have this thread for you, to save you from this scam and future scams. 1) Finland is no longer tuition free since 2017. There were a lot of scholarships in the past but most, if not all, have been withdrawn. The new "right" government from 2023 came with a lot of changes. Now, most schools have increased the tuition fees with little or no scholarship. The average tuition is 8000-11000 euro per year. 2) For the first time, Finland introduced application fee of 100 euro this year. Those who applied for the UAS joint admission in January paid the application fee.

As a Nigerian, don't miss out on Finland. They're in need of Nigerians. Study while working and move with your family. Just $900. Requirements: Passport, Waec/Neco, and transcripts.

@SoNigerian_ another issue is, many African parents fail to have such conversation with their children. Parents having such conversations can really help. The key word here is having conversation not preaching “the usual”. Making their children understand what it is all about.

@SoNigerian_ also sexual discipline has a lot to do with you as a person, it depicts your moral value and who you are as a person. Are you someone that sleeps with anything under the skirt or anything wey get trouser. What do you look for in people?

@SoNigerian_ our society contributes to it. Just like Isaac said, some are just pressured because of their peers. For example, some would hear their guys saying guy you sure say you dey okay, no be shalewa dey give you green light etc. sexual discipline is very important.

@TundeTASH Omoo, that’s my definition of “being wealthy ooo”. The ability to afford what I need at any given time.

A friend once told me, wealth can also be measured by the ability to afford your needs at any given time. If you are able to afford whatever you ‘need’ (not what you want) at any given time, be grateful.
