@IndianTechGuide BCCI should also pay income tax
@IndianTechGuide They believe Indians are gullible — no matter how much they hike the price, people will still buy it.
@IndianTechGuide This GST hike on IPL tickets is ridiculous—jumping from 28% to 40% just prices out regular fans. Cricket should be for everyone, not a rich folks' club! 🏏
@IndianTechGuide The top 10 richest cricket boards in the world: 1. India - $2.2bn 2. Australia - $79m 3. England & Wales - $59m 4. Pakistan - $55m 5. Bangladesh - $51m 6. South Africa - $47m 7. Zimbabwe - $38m 8. Sri Lanka - $20m 9. West Indies - $15m 10. New Zealand - $9m
@IndianTechGuide common man goes to IPL match - huge sin, pay up 40% tax BCCI earns in thousands of crores and managed by corrupt politicians - oh, welfare of cricket, 0% income tax
@IndianTechGuide That’s fine, not much difference
@IndianTechGuide Why bcci and ipl profits are tax free but ₹1 lakh salary is taxable??
@IndianTechGuide Cricket is turning into a luxury now 💸 40% GST on IPL tickets is just unfair for fans. Stadiums will look empty if this continues 🏟️
@IndianTechGuide This will lead to increase the ticket prices due to increase in taxes! People will anyways pay for it!
@IndianTechGuide The increase in GST on IPL tickets from 28% to 40%, effective September 22, 2025.This change contrasts with the tax-exempt status of the BCCI, IPL's governing body, under Section 12AA of the Income Tax Act,
@IndianTechGuide That’s a big jump 😬💸 Moving IPL tickets from 28% to 40% GST means fans will now have to shell out a lot more just to watch a match in the stadium. Cricket is supposed to unite, not become a luxury. 🏏🔥
@IndianTechGuide Wow, 40% GST on IPL tickets is a big jump. It might make watching matches too expensive for many fans. Personally, I liked it 🤓✌️
@IndianTechGuide Another GST shocker 🚨 IPL tickets hiked from 28% to 40% GST! Fans will pay the price while politicians still get free passes 🤦♂️
@IndianTechGuide Dream 11 ki team ab 69 rupay mai banegi 💀💀

@IndianTechGuide Best to watch IPL from home in the comfort of a AC room with snacks , rather than buy and expensive ticket be pushed and shoved at the entrance gate , sweat like a pig and climb flights of stairs just to get a paper cup of water.

@IndianTechGuide Take Paneer and Paratha to balance the gst😆
If the logic is revenue mobilisation, it is shortsighted. IPL is one of the few global-scale sports products India has built. Higher taxes make the product less accessible at home while BCCI pockets billions abroad. A better design would have been tiered GST slabs based on ticket price, sparing the entry-level fan from luxury rates.
@IndianTechGuide Looks like IPL is only for the rich now Is the government promoting sports or discouraging it? @grok
@IndianTechGuide I think This might be a good reason to diversify the audiance among different sports. From Childhood, Many grow up only by watching Cricket and Now maybe Others will have fair advantage to create their strong fan base in India
@IndianTechGuide Ab India team ko sponsors nai aa rai h to GST bada dete h
@IndianTechGuide Stadium me match dekhne ka sapna sapna hi rahega 😭
@IndianTechGuide Indians will still pay for these tickets. Alot of them were being sold second hand for a much higher price
@IndianTechGuide common man in india can't watch a match irl ever
This misleading post is being circulated as if the govt has finally started taxing IPL or BCCI. False. The hike is in GST on "IPL tickets", which means fans buying tickets will pay more, not BCCI. IPL and BCCI still enjoy exemptions on their own massive earnings. What BCCI deposits to the GoI isn’t a “tax on themselves” but money collected on govt’s behalf, like GST on tickets and merchandise (paid by fans), TDS on player/staff salaries, TDS on vendors and contractors, etc.
@IndianTechGuide 🚨What about suv prices it's flat 40% or 40% + cess ????
@IndianTechGuide Only tickets are taxed and it will be passed on to the viewers, not IPL profits.
