@imranusmani373 @FaithGuard1109 @KrengusI8338 @23greenpastures @KosherCockney [In 4:157, the Quran states that Jesus was not crucified justly (the word 'justly' is implied).] -- Take that up with your Muslim brothers.
@InfinitelyManic @FaithGuard1109 @KrengusI8338 @23greenpastures @KosherCockney I do raise it with Muslims. However, it is also important that I raise it with you because you stated incorrectly that the Quran denies the fact of the Crucifixion.
@imranusmani373 @FaithGuard1109 @KrengusI8338 @23greenpastures @KosherCockney Which translation is correct if not this one? "And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them."
@InfinitelyManic @FaithGuard1109 @KrengusI8338 @23greenpastures @KosherCockney The correct translation is 'they killed him not (justly) nor crucified him (justly), but it appeared so to them.' For further explanation, please see the post on my profile page.
@imranusmani373 @FaithGuard1109 @KrengusI8338 @23greenpastures @KosherCockney But, do you still deny the resurrection & the fatherhood of the Most High?
@InfinitelyManic @FaithGuard1109 @KrengusI8338 @23greenpastures @KosherCockney I affirm the resurrection of Jesus because it is in the Gospel. When Jesus called God the 'Father', he meant it in the sense of a caring Lord as described in the Torah (eg Deut 1:31). Jesus did NOT mean that he was the biological offspring of God.
@imranusmani373 @FaithGuard1109 @KrengusI8338 @23greenpastures @KosherCockney [Jesus did NOT mean that he was the biological offspring of God.] -- Then you deny what the Gospel explicitly states. 1Jo 2:23 Everyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either. The person who confesses the Son has the Father also. 1/
@InfinitelyManic @FaithGuard1109 @KrengusI8338 @23greenpastures @KosherCockney I accept the Gospel. Unfortunately, you don't understand the meaning of the term 'son of God' as it used in the Torah and Gospel. 'Son of God' does not mean offspring. It means 'chosen one of God'. For example, Luke 3:38 states that Adam is the 'son of God'.
@imranusmani373 @FaithGuard1109 @KrengusI8338 @23greenpastures @KosherCockney [For example, Luke 3:38 states that Adam is the 'son of God'.] -- Adam is a son by adoption, a son by grace; metaphorical The Lord Jesus reveals the Father to the world. The Word/Son is eternally begotten of the Father w/o time or sequence; so the Word/Son is beginningless.
@InfinitelyManic @FaithGuard1109 @KrengusI8338 @23greenpastures @KosherCockney Luke 3:38 does not contain the words 'by adoption' or 'by grace'. You are adding words to the Scripture to try and justify your incorrect traditional beliefs. Adam is the son of God in the same sense as Jesus is the son of God, that is, chosen one of God.
