The new CPOMS layout 🤢🤮 Was literally no need to mess with it!
Very bad news for the teaching profession and the thousands of families that have been destroyed by this ideology in schools. I lost.
It annoys me when teachers don’t take the time to ‘know’ or ‘study’ their students. You wonder why you can’t he though to them - you need to understand them first!
Me - Who is a head of years’ worst nightmare? Them - the kids Me - No… the staff.
What is the best email sign-off, which is sarcastic?
Fun conversation with a parent… Parent - proceeds to tell me how to do my job Me - “oh do you work in education?” Parent - “no - but it ain’t that hard” That’s like me going and telling a fish how to swim properly?!?!?!
Why do people who don’t work in education always comment on how education should work? It’s the equivalent of me telling a cardiologist how to perform surgery.
Should the head of HR also be able to be a line manager to the site/IT/premises/Cover/other support staff? Conflict of interest if you ask me🙃

My school has trialled this in recent years - whilst 1hr does not seem like a lot - it takes it toll! Especially when there are parents eve's, CPD training, and detentions!

Your school wants to increase teaching per day by 1 hour. This means around 195 hours extra over 39 weeks and amounts to about 6 weeks. The 6 weeks to be distributed across the year. Half terms to be two weeks each with the summer break increased to 9 weeks. Would you accept?

Safeguarding is really tough; it can feel lonely and really weigh you down. Going out on duty every break & lunch to catch up with kids is super important and it’s what keeps me going. It helps add a bit of positivity into every day 💪 #lifeofadsl
Most people think 🤔 drug addicts sit in shop door ways begging! Far from it because I’m getting more people contacting me who’s social cocaine use has now become dependency! These people are husbands wife’s have kids good jobs ? & help is available to them like it was me 🙏🏻❤️

A child who has suffered bereavement of mum & dad internal truanting: 'Get to class or you will be sent home!' 'I'd rather be sent home.' 'Fine -home it is!' This child has turned up to school, but there are clearly barriers. Let's listen & support. Schools can be too reactive.

It angers me when staff congregate to bitch and moan about individual children - 9 times out of 10 this ‘flock’ of staff haven’t: - Checked their SEN status - Called home - Tried to navigate the issue - OR BUILD A RELATIONSHIP Respect works both ways. #InsidePastoral
