1/ Why we built this. Send a client your wallet address and you've handed them your books: your balance, your other clients, where the money goes. A block explorer is all it takes. 2/ RAILGUN fixes this with zero-knowledge proofs, but until now both sides needed a dedicated wallet. No client installs a new wallet to pay one invoice. 3/ With Private Invoice the client changes nothing. They open a link, approve the exact amount, and send one transaction from the wallet they already use. 4/ That transaction is a RAILGUN Shield addressed to your private 0zk address. The amount is encrypted to your viewing key. No contract of ours ever holds the funds. 5/ Our server checks the on-chain event against what it issued: commitment, ciphertext, token, amount. Once the block is finalized, the invoice is marked paid and you get a signed receipt. 6/ Your private wallet lives in your browser. It syncs, decrypts your notes and generates the withdrawal proof locally. We hold no key that can move your money. 7/ Honest limits: withdrawing to a public address reveals that address and the amount. RAILGUN charges 0.25% to shield and 0.25% to unshield.
