A 4km stone pathway running from the base to the summit of Croagh Patrick in Co Mayo is complete, after more than three years of work by a team who moved thousands of tonnes of rock and soil to make the mountain safer and faster to climb. The path not only provides a more solid ground for those hiking up the Reek, but also aims to stop erosion on the mountain which has impacted vegetation there. To see more of the project, check out Climb the Reek on YouTube, where David Doyle has been documenting the path-building team's work.
