The pain is real. There is still time to prevent forever-closures. Fams & cmmtys deserve more than a rushed closure made worse by a pandemic. @Geronimo4AISD @amberelenz @PTAnderson70 @LovelyBlkQueen0 @yasminwagneratx @aratisingh @RevDrJayme @KristinAshy
@JecaAustin @SaveSchools_ATX @rodeoaustin @BrookeLions @MsFowlersKClass We went to get lunch @Govalle_Roadies yesterday. My little 1s now understand this is their new school. They're too young to understand the injustice and to know they are just additional victims of racism and classism by @AustinISD. Good job trustees
March is almost here, time to show your love and support for a good cause benefiting the National Federation of the Blind, Austin Chapter!!! Every Thursday in March, join us at Monkey Nest Coffee (5353 Burnet Rd. Austin, TX 78756) between 5 pm and 10 pm.
“The money follows the kids.” I kept hearing that said by Austin ISD officials at school closure meetings. That is fraud. Voters approved a bond to fix schools; not to follow students after those schools were closed.
Beyond an apology (purely symbolic), the Human Rights Commission is asking @AustinISD to create a strategic response *with @shawley03 * to correct t/trustees’ school clsr vote.
The @austintexasgov Human Rights Commission seeks an apology from @AustinISD for the inequitable school closures & trauma Community is experiencing. We need AISD to apologise, do budget/bond/equity audits so we can begin rebuilding trust. #AISDGameChangers

Injusto que el distrito esté haciendo sufrir a nuestros hijos mientras ellos ríen por sus cierres de escuelas #aisdsupt #austinisd #brookeelementary #aisdgamechangers #allarewelcome
As we enter a holiday week, @AISDSupt @nicolekConley @Geronimo4AISD @amberelenz @PTAnderson70 @yasminwagneratx @RevDrJayme reflect on what you voted for.

@jedichingona @clothesminded @Asands721 @KendallGPace @AISDSupt @AustinISD @pecanspringsecp Unbelievable. Way to go, @AISDSupt!
Where is the integrity in this process? @AISDSupt
Why was an equity analysis of Austin school closures shelved? #WheresTheEquityReport statesman.com/news/20191122/…
