This is where it started. And it has kind of snowballed.
Introduced my eldest to gunpla via bear gundams. We now have a small army of little plastic model bears. 5 of them to be exact. With 2 waiting to be built. She’s a wee bit obsessed. Not that I mind, really.
(We are in Florida for a month, literally 10 feet from the ocean. It’s why I’ve been so quiet)
He needs a haircut. However, he flat refuses to sit still enough for us to even brush it, most times. We will get to it, probably after we get home from vacation.
Alex has always been somewhat jealous of the pretty dresses that his twin sister and older sister wear. So mom got him a blue dress with a print of construction vehicles. And he is now the happiest 3 yr old
Eldest is naming her pets in Minecraft. “What’s a good name for a rabbit?” “I don’t know. Stu?” “Daddy!”
I say this pretty much never, but I believe I'm way too fucking sober for how today is turning out.
Mind, the current arrangement isn’t final. Alex will, at some point, demand his own room separate from his sister. However that is 3 or 4 years down the road. In all likelihood we will just shuffle the girls in one room and Alex into the other. But for now life is good.
Note, I have my own room. I thrash around in my sleep, I’m awake at odd hours, and I snore. I’m a poor companion and for everyone’s sanity I have my own space.
We thought there would be some adjustment. Not so much. Immediate glee is the best way to put it. Well, ok then. I guess mom wasn’t the only one tired of the old arrangement. And mom has her own room, alone, for the first time since our eldest was born. Nearly 7 years ago.
So, the twins have been sleeping in the same room as mom, an arrangement that never worked well and was growing more and more dysfunctional as time wore on. So we finally cleared out a spare room for them. They are now sleeping in their own bed in their own room.
This amuses me. The green bit is Uber Eats delivery range. That black pin is me. I am quite literally less than 100 feet out of delivery range. The guy at the top of my street? Yeah. Me? Not so much. And this is the way it has been for *years*.
Well, here is something I'd never thought I'd say: I agree with the Satanists. What a weird, weird world we live in.
My eldest has a children’s book of Greek myths. Which is amusing me to no end, really, given how VERY, VERY not G rated the original mythos is. Yeah, let’s just gloss over Zeus and his bestiality shenanigans, shall we? And the less said about the origin of the Minotaur the better

Feeding Alex pizza is a lot like dumping a cow in piranha filled waters. What happens next is sudden, violent, and only leaves bones (crusts) behind.
I had this inflicted on me, so I’m spreading the pain. I’ve never had such a SFW image make me feel quite this ill. You’re welcome.
Oh, and this is what it did to me. Can’t stop laughing.
So, that whole gender swap Snapchat filter thing? Don’t use it on a toddler. Because you get this. Which is both hysterical and wrong on many levels.
