New era. Ashen One ❌ → Nikfor ✅ This is permanent, guys. No going back this time. Ashen One felt too general and too closely tied to FromSoftware. Some people dismissed my opinions because they assumed I was a FromSoftware fanboy, while others thought my content was only about their games. I love those games, but I already cover a much wider variety, and I wanted a name that better represents me. Nikfor feels more personal. Some of you might remember me using it for a few months before switching back to Ashen One. But its history goes back much further: over 10 years ago, I started a YouTube channel under that name, uploaded a few videos, and then stopped. Now I’m bringing it back for good. It’s pronounced roughly like “Nick-four,” with the emphasis on “Nick,” and comes from letters in my surname. Add an “i” between the “k” and “f” and you get Nikifor, a form of the Greek name Nikiforos, meaning “bringer of victory.” My surname carries the same meaning! Also, an important detail, guys: it’s Nikfor, not Nick or Nik, so please don’t shorten it to those 😅 I’ll keep my current display name for 30 days to give everyone time to recognise me and get used to the change, then shorten it to simply Nikfor. You can already find me across all my socials as @ItsNikfor, so finding me should be easier now. And if some of you still want to call me Ashen One, I don’t mind!

@iKaito_1 Thank you! I wanted something more personal, so I went with a Spartan helmet, the Greek meander around the border, and Nikfor written in Greek. A little tribute to my roots :P

@Loyal_Samwise4 Hahaha understandable 😂😂 Appreciate the kind words, mate! Just a name change, I’m not going anywhere. Even if I ever stop making videos, I’ll still be here talking about our favourite hobby. But right now, I’m only planning to do more :P

As for my long-term plans, I’d like to make long-form YouTube videos eventually. That’s still a way off, but I’m slowly working towards it. I’ll probably start in Greek, my native language, where I’d feel more comfortable and confident speaking. After that, I’d like to make videos in English, which would probably interest most of you, and potentially expand into German if there’s interest. Maybe even Russian one day, if I have the motivation and get enough speaking practice :P I can understand almost everything in Russian, but I struggle to speak it because I’ve barely practised. Each language would have its own separate channel, so you could follow the one that suits you. These are long-term goals, so don’t expect anything to launch soon. I’m determined to get there, but building the confidence and skills will take time. I don’t want to rush it! I’m also learning a new editing app, and that switch is much closer. I might start posting videos edited with it in the coming days, then fully switch over once I’m comfortable using it. I’ll still be learning at first, but I’ll improve with practice. You might notice some minor changes to my current videos as I learn. The bigger goal is to try new video formats and do more creatively, but developing those will take much longer. I want the switch to help me expand what I can create, rather than simply spend more time making the same videos.

@Rasturac88 I’m so disappointed with their greed… They’re doing so many things I hoped they wouldn’t do with GTA VI. At this point, I’m worried we’ll be even more shocked when we see how they monetise its multiplayer…

This is like FromSoftware announcing a €400 collector’s edition for Elden Ring without the game and giving you a random sheep statue instead of Malenia 😭 Dude, who’s buying this??

What exactly is this comparison supposed to prove? The 007 edition was announced at €299.99 and includes the game. The €400 listing you’re showing wasn’t its announced price. My issue is what they’re offering for the money, and frankly, none of it looks appealing to me. A proper statue of Lucia and Jason would’ve been a different story.

Just woke up after 16 hours of sleep, and this is the first thing I saw. Think I should’ve stayed asleep. 😂 $400, or €400 for us Europeans, for these items, and the game isn’t even included? This is nowhere near the collector’s edition I wanted or expected for GTA VI. Nothing here screams “buy me,” especially at that price. Sadly, they went full-on greedy with this one.

@Blaz3Gam3r77 Exactly, those little head movements make it feel so natural. I’d love to see more games put that much care into animations. Better graphics are great, but it’s details like these that really bring characters to life.

These facial animations, dude. Something so many games nowadays still struggle with. Just started Control Resonant. Can’t wait to see what Remedy cooked.

WE ARE SO BACK!! 😭🔥 Ninja Theory isn’t closing! Instead, they’re leaving Xbox and will be owned by a new company, with Senua funded by the new owner. I’m SO happy this incredible studio gets to keep making games. I seriously can’t wait to see who ends up owning them!

@Steve_McFc98 Yeah, some reflections look really good and others look pretty rough. That inconsistency sums up quite a few aspects of the game for me.

Most reflections in Marvel’s Wolverine look really good, but every now and then you come across one like this. I also included Fidelity Pro at the end for comparison, and the difference is pretty big, although of course it comes at the cost of FPS.

@Samir39312040 I don’t think the level design is its biggest problem. Some parts feel really well made, while others feel undercooked. Overall, it gives me the impression that it needed more time. I’m still having fun, but I do think people criticising it have some valid points.
