1. Spanking did not help you turn out “alright.” 2. You’re continuing the cycle of abuse by not healing your trauma. 3. Y’all not believing kids when they say someone touched them inappropriately. 4. Absent fathers are given too much grace. 5. Custodial parents get blamed for how the child turns out like the other parent didn’t have an impact on that. 6. Your child support will never be enough. Your healthy presence is needed. 7. Grandparents aren’t grandparenting like they used to. (For many reasons) 8. Your children are acting like that bc you act like that. 9. Yelling at children in the morning sets them up for failure the rest of the day. 10. A child asking you “why?” Isn’t always disrespectful. They are trying to learn. 11. Making a child eat everything on their plate may cause them to have issues with eating later. 12. Your child doesn’t have to meet every single person you date. 13. Your child is not responsible for your emotions. 14. Telling your kids, especially boys, to stop crying can hurt them in the long run. 15. Expecting children to regulate their emotions when you go from 0-100 regularly is wild. 16. Emotional incest is increasing. 17. Those girls aren’t fast. Adults are sexualizing them.

Love feels fun. Love feels freeing. Love lights you up inside. Even through the disagreements. Love warms you. Love provides calm. I don’t believe it feels exhausting or like a cage. I don’t believe it tastes like regret.

@gaialect That’s sounds delicious! Have you ever tried blueberry cheesecake? Fruit infused desserts can be an acquired taste for some individuals, but I’m a sucker for it 🤤.

A large part of figuring out who you are involves figuring out who you are not. Stripping away the parts that don't serve you or align with your authentic self. Inverting is useful because by removing that which you aren't you can focus on and identify that which you are.

and some people come into our life to show us what love isn’t. those experiences are also powerful lessons, they equip you with the tools and awareness to ensure you don’t allow anyone to treat you poorly again.

even if their presence is fleeting, some people enter your life to show you what love is. if it doesn’t work and they can’t stay, or the connection doesn’t continue: it’s still something to celebrate. it’s proof you are able to continually open yourself up to the love you deserve

How someone reacts or responds to you when you’re genuinely upset about something they did that hurt you — tells you so much. I really can’t emphasize this enough.

you expect a lot from people, because you know you’d do the same for them without hesitation - a testament to how you genuinely care for others. however, the kindest thing to do is meet people where they’re at, and see if your expectations align with what they’re able to provide

so yeah if you were wondering why some of us people please, it's not this "superficial desire of wanting to be liked or seen as nice" like the internet tries to paint it as. at least, that was never the case for me.

i believe some people can develop emotionally manipulative personalities from the trauma they endured in childhood. i believe as adults, they may unintentionally manipulate others. i say unintentional because they are consciously doing the action but to achieve their goal…
