We thoroughly enjoyed the presentation given by Darcey's Dad and we were able to ask him lots of questions. He talked to us about the many skills that people need to work in the renewable energy sector at @Eco2Ltd Margam. Darcey's Dad even brought us some gifts! Diolch yn fawr.
Darcey's Dad brought along some of the protective clothes and helmet that they wear at @Eco2Ltd, Margam. One of us even had the opportunity to wear it. He really looked the part.
Darcey's Dad gave a really interesting presentation and we learnt such a lot about the importance of renewable energy and how, at @Eco2Ltd they use waste wood to generate clean energy for the national grid. .
As part of our Careers Discovery Week, we had a fantastic visit from Darcey's Dad this morning who talked to us all about his job in the renewable energy sector at @Eco2Ltd.
We would like to thank Toby’s Mum and Dad for visiting us today to talk about their careers in the police. They took so much time to answer our questions. We are sure that they have inspired a few future police officers sitting amongst us.
Toby’s Mum and Dad showed us the police uniform they wear and some of the equipment they use whilst doing their jobs. We were amazed at the range of jobs that police officers do including arresting criminals, helping in the community, attending road accidents, policing events…
This afternoon we were also visited by members of another emergency service - the police. Toby’s Mum and Dad, both police officers, very kindly visited us to tell us all about their careers in South Wales Police.
We would like to thank Steve and Mark for visiting us today to talk about their career in the fire service. They took so much time to answer our questions. We are sure that they have inspired a few future fire officers sitting amongst us.
Steve and Mark showed us the special clothing they wear to protect themselves when fighting fires. Mr. Evans even had to have a race with one of us to see who could put the uniform on in the quickest time! Our visitors told us about some of the equipment they use at fire scenes.
Steve and Mark talked to us about some of the different situations in which they help people e.g. house fires, forest fires, at the scene of road accidents…They told us all about their working routines and training. It was obvious how much they enjoy their jobs.
As part of our Careers Discovery Week, we were lucky enough to have a visit from two fire officers this morning - George’s Dad, Steve 👨🚒 and his colleague Mark👨🚒. They talked to us about all aspects of a career in the fire service. #southwalesfireservice
