@bestofStarTrek 8. Totally underappreciated and maybe the best score of the films to boot.

@jamiedupree The attempt to have leverage over China in the future by seizing control of Hormuz was unsuccessful. The US won a tactical victory in weakening the Iranian military and regime, but Iran won the strategic victory. A regime that guns down protestors and underpins global terrorism.

@dccommonsense He ends his post commenting “God bless the Great People of Iran”, so it sounds like it was just a poor choice of words he was using to describe the regime. You are spot on about blowback, though.

@TheFedUpLefty @bbbbbbbbbbrady “Hand out Cash Man” just didn’t have the same thematic punch.

@dccommonsense @uapufcww3 Just playing devil’s advocate— maybe Trump’s advisors are telling him to go after China’s friendly suppliers of oil? Maybe it was deemed risky to leave hostile dictators with their hands on what they could supply for the CCP or cut off for the US.

@StarTrek_Legacy I’ve said it for a while now. A Game of Thrones style show centered on intrigue among the Klingons, told in parts on different Klingon ships. Make Starfleet only visible on the edges.

People have no idea what the #IranWar is about. I think it had less to do with the stated goals and way more to do with pumping the brakes on the amount of oil Iran could supply to China. It’s so obvious, and no one is stating it.
