@bbctms At least he's improving each game. 😉 But seriously, he's a classy player and this small setback will hopefully make him into an even more rounded player.

@bbctms Leaving the best T20 player out because of his young age is ridiculous... Well done Ireland.

@ProteasMenCSA How can someone who averages above 50 in ODIs lose his national contract? Experience like Rassies's counts and takes 10-20 years to grow... Nevertheless, well done on an excellent ODI career @Rassie

@SuperSportTV Yes, and it's largely thanks to that bloke Markram on the screen. A true captain, chosen on merit ✨. Good leaders make good teams!

@All_power99 @ProteasMenCSA Really? What about Kerber who has had made impact for a really long time as a leggie and is also an allrounder?

@ProteasMenCSA If they want to give so many guys a chance, then why not organise more SA "A" series? Playing for your country should be completely on merit, rather than done as an experiment or for other agendas.

@CricketWire_ @ProteasMenCSA Yes, if only selections were based on performance and not other factors that do nothing with players' abilities.

@tinwan47 @ProteasMenCSA They're too good to make our 3rd team squad.

@ProteasMenCSA George Linde is such an underrated player. He has always been the bowling allrounder we needed in Test/ODI and T20. Pity that he never got the opportunities and recognition that he deserves for his consistency and match winning performances. Well done, George! 🥇🙌🏼

@ESPNcricinfo Nothing stuns me as a Protea supporter anymore. If you want to play your B or C team with a random captain, then you're going to lose more often than not.

@WisdenCricket Calling Boland "decent" is the understatement of the year... He is perhaps the most unfortunate modern day player not to be a regular choise in any playing XI. I would have played him ahead of Hazelwood or gone with him instead of an allrounder.

@WisdenCricket It's only 15 innings. Not too much can be made of it yet, but something to keep an eye out for going forward. We have had great success under him as an ODI captain though. Maybe more in limited overs cricket than Bavuma.

@WisdenCricket Almost as shocking as Bavuma’s ODI debut. Never thought it would happen with his provincial numbers. Super happy for him (and Bavuma) though! Crazy that he’s keeping ODI king Vd Dussen out.
