I challenge any TX lawmaker who signed onto the bill that doesn’t allow water breaks for construction workers to come and work in construction for a day. Those are my uncles & cousins. Y’all are making these laws behind a desk in AC. Go outside (in this heatwave) and touch grass
@JCisnerosTX I’m amazed at the employment lawyers in your comments. But they don’t know TX is RTW, TX law does not currently require breaks for any worker, breaks being non-mandatory means they don’t have to be given, and one taking a break can be fired for it outside of a union shop. 1/
@JCisnerosTX Can any Republican here give me a reason why this is a good law?
@JCisnerosTX Pour concrete, dig a ditch or roof a house with no water breaks
@JCisnerosTX I promise you that OSHA is all over it. Guys are lucky to be able to work more than 10 minutes at a time in this heat without a 20-minute break. I'm sure they appreciate the virtue signal, though.🫡
@JCisnerosTX HAHAHA! Seriously. You being serious here? Nothing like promoting hysteria and misinformation.
@JCisnerosTX @texasdemocrats Ok lying fascist
@JCisnerosTX This post isn’t truthful. They removed legislation mandating 10 minute breaks every 4 hours. Employers can allow anything they want. The law doesn’t take away their power to allow people to take a break. I worked roofing in NY. We had no such law yet took breaks. This is normal.
@JCisnerosTX Do you understand what the bill is about?
@JCisnerosTX I challenge you to go work one day with your uncles and cousins!! We take a break and drink water when we want and if we had 1 designated water break then that’s all some BS companies would give it’s employees!! Go work for a day!! See what life is like!!
