There are too many teams and not enough games by the marquee teams. What they should’ve done is have the bottom 32 teams play a tournament first. Top 8 teams get in. And the the next 16 teams play each other for the next 8 spots. Then you have 32 teams left (16 top teams had a bye). Then put them in 4 groups of 8. Have each team play 7 games of pool play. Top 8 teams advance—4 division winners and 4 wildcards. But now each of the playoff series would be best-of-three. That would make the World Cup truly great.

Florida is establishing September 11th as “9/11 Heroes’ Day” to honor those who gave their lives for our freedom. Our middle and high school students, who were not alive during this time, will be required to have 45 minutes of instruction to learn about the attack on our country and those who gave their lives to save others.
